• History Proficiency: Gain Proficiency with Intelligence (History) Ability Checks.
• Persuasion Proficiency: Gain Proficiency with Charisma (Persuasion) Ability Checks.

Background goals

Performing certain actions that align with this background rewards Inspiration. These goals can be accomplished by any member of the active party, and Inspiration points are pooled, up to a maximum of 4. Completing an inspiration event also grants experience to characters with this background. While not necessarily all-inclusive, listed below are known events which grant inspiration points.

	25	Penchant for Diplomacy	Reach a High level of approval with a companion.
	20	Soul for Sale	Acquire a Soul Coin for your personal collection.
Act 1
Campsite	20	Lest Ye Be Judged	Learn Astarion's history as a magistrate. This only works as a Custom party member, and does not work with Hirelings.
	30	Blueblood Solidarity	Learn Wyll's family history. This only works as a Custom party member, and does not work with Hirelings. Wyll must be spoken with after saving Counsellor Florrick at Waukeen's Rest.
Blighted Village	25	Bodyguards for Hire	Recruit the ogres to protect you. This inspiration is shared with  Pyramid Scheme and  Creatures of Bloodlust.
Goblin Camp	25	A Man of Many Talents	Expand your retinue by bringing Volo to camp.
Underdark	25	Entitled	Earn a title from your deeds. Can be awarded from completing: Defeat the Duergar Intruders for Sovereign Spaw. Investigate Kagha while persuading Kagha to abandon the Shadow Druids. Only a druid can earn title "Faithwarden".
	30	Know Your Place	Leverage your role in the drow matriarchy to force Dhourn to abandon his quest. The dialogue option to do this can be made available to non-Drow through the use of  Disguise Self.
Waukeen's Rest	30	Protector of the Duke	Rescue Counsellor Florrick from the burning inn. This is earned after speaking to Counsellor Florrick.
Act 2
Last Light Inn	50	Noble Feline	Speak with the lordly cat at Last Light.
	60	Favour for a Favour	Wake Art for Counsellor Florrick and the Flaming Fist.
	60	Patrician of the Grove	Recruit Halsin.
Shadow-Cursed Lands	50	Odd Entourage	Complete the drider escort to Moonrise.
Reithwin Town	50	Taxes? Never Heard of 'Em	Don't give any gold to the toll collector.

	220	The Wealth of Morality	Choose your allegiance between the Guild and the Zhentarim. This can be obtained for picking either side during the final confrontation in the Aid the Underduke quest.
Lower City Sewers	170	An Apocalyptic Deal	Convince someone to aid you during the endgame or by making a deal with Raphael This can be awarded by: Convincing Mol or Nine-Fingers to aid the party in the battle for Baldur's Gate. Defeating Raphael in the House of Hope, while first convincing Yurgir to join the party's side. Siding with Wulbren Bongle during Disable the Steel Watch. Recruiting Auntie Ethel as an ally for Gather Your Allies.
