Zombie (Animate Dead) are a special type of zombie creature created from the spell Animate Dead Animate Dead and other similar actions.

About

This version of the zombie can apply Crawling Gnaw Crawling Gnaw to targets it hits. When a creature dies with the Crawling Gnaw Crawling Gnaw condition active, they raise as a "Newborn Zombie." A Newborn Zombie has 10 HP and takes 1Damage TypesNecrotic damage each turn. A Newborn Zombie otherwise has the same stats as a regular Zombie.

Constructs, elementals, oozes, plants, undead, and members of your adventuring party can't be infected.

Undead Fortitude

Due to its passive Undead Fortitude Undead Fortitude, zombies can come back to life at 1 HP when killed, unless the killing blow was a critical hit, or the damage type is Damage TypesRadiant. This can make zombies resilient to death, thus requiring more actions to kill.
