Dark Justiciars are elite warriors of Shar, who were gifted with supernatural abilities and carried out her will throughout Faerûn.

Overview

There are very few living Dark Justiciars remaining in Baldur's Gate 3; the vast majority appear as a race of Undead creatures, serving the Lady of Loss in death.

Dark Justiciars were far more powerful in the past, terrorizing Reithwin under the leadership of Ketheric Thorm and building such architectural marvels as the Gauntlet of Shar and the Grymforge. They were finally defeated by a broad coalition of forces, including Harpers and Emerald Grove druids.

The remaining Dark Justiciars were defeated after Yurgir destroyed the Grymforge after he was ordered to by Raphael. Yurgir then proceeded to hunt down and kill almost every remaining Justiciar in the Gauntlet of Shar.

The majority of Dark Justiciars in the present are an undead race that continue to guard the Gauntlet even after death.
