For the Animate Dead ghoul summon, see Ghoul (Animate Dead).

Ghouls are an Undead Humanoid creature and non-playable race in Baldur's Gate 3. They can be found along the Rosymorn Monastery Trail.

Driven by their insatiable hunger for humanoid flesh, ghouls usually roam the night in packs.
in-game racial description

About

Ghouls devour the flesh of corpses and hunger for that of the living. Their claws can cause paralysis paralysis, and they are immune to Damage TypesPoison.

Ghouls can be created by the level 5 Necromancy spell, Animate Dead: Ghoul Animate Dead: Ghoul, which can be learned by a wizard or cleric. These ghouls have a higher level and differing abilities. See Ghoul (Animate Dead).

The Ghouls summoned by the special spell Danse Macabre, which is acquired from reading the Necromancy of Thay, are yet another distinct variant. See Ghoul (Danse Macabre).
