Ghouls are an Undead creature in Baldur's Gate 3.

About Ghouls[edit | edit source]

Ghouls devour the flesh of corpses and hunger for that of the living. Their claws can cause paralysis paralysis, and they are immune to PoisonPoison.

They are immune to Demonspirit Madness Demonspirit Madness. This prevents them from being driven Mad Mad due to a failed Wisdom saving throw when the summoner wears Abyss Beckoners. Their Claws attack has a fixed save DC of 5 to Paralyse the target, unless the summoner has Undead Thralls: Better Summons Undead Thralls: Better Summons in which case the DC increases to 8.

These particular Ghouls have the Condition Gnawing Horde, which makes them uncontrollable and have a variation of Death Burst which deals 6d6NecroticNecrotic with a Dexterity saving throw for half. This affects allies and enemies alike, and can cause a chain reaction with other Ghouls. This does not have a name or icon or appear under Notable Features.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

This particular Ghoul type can be created through the special spell Danse Macabre Danse Macabre.
