Cranium Rats are a type of rat beast found in multiple areas in Act Three. The Netherbrain speaks through the rats in unison.

Cranium rats can be found in multiple places in Act Three.

Combat[edit section | visual editor]

Cranium Rats are temporarily hostile when wandering too close to the Morphic Pool Dock before obtaining all three Netherstones.

Attacking a Cranium Rat will engage their passive feature Infectious Madness, possibly causing ConfusionConfusion in the attacker. This passive will not trigger when attacking with area spells like FireballFireball.

  • Upon approaching the swarm of cranium rats at the Morphic Pool Dock the EmperorEmperor will comment on them, saying:
    • Cranium rats - they swarm when an elder brain is near. We must be close to its hiding place.
    • Beware, a solitary rat may be trivial, but a swarm is dangerous.
