Doni is one of the tiefling refugees seeking shelter at the Emerald Grove in Act One. Rikka Rikka is his guardian.

Doni may be neurodivergent. He does not speak and tries to avoid eye contact when spoken to. Like many children, he reacts with written dialogue when certain animals approach him, such as Dire Raven Companion.

Before arriving at the Emerald Grove, Doni lost his father and home, which led Rikka to take guardianship. Doni is also part of the children's gang led by Mol Mol.

Act One[edit | edit source]

Don is first encountered in the Grove at X: 225 Y: 550. If the party initiate a conversation with him, he stares past the interacting party character. If the party character turns around to see what he is looking at, a passive DC 10 Perception check is rolled. On success, Doni is seen slipping between the rocks. The party can then make an additional check to spot the entrance to the Tiefling Hideout and receive 15 XP:

  • [INVESTIGATION] Search the rocks for an opening. (DC 10)
  • [RANGER] [INVESTIGATION] Examine the rocks for anything out of the ordinary. (DC 10 Advantage Icon.png)
  • [ROGUE] [INVESTIGATION] Study the rocks for a secret passage. (DC 10 Advantage Icon.png)

Alternatively, if Mirkon Mirkon survives Investigate the Beach Investigate the Beach, he gives the party a password and instructs them to speak with Doni to gain entry.
