Tahan is one of the druids performing the Rite of Thorns during Act One.

Involvement

Act One

Tahan can be found at the Sacred Pool of the Emerald Grove. She is loyal to  Kagha and resents both the party and tiefling refugees for bringing violence to their gates, a view she adheres to even if Kagha's alliance with the Shadow Druids is brought to light.

Attacks and abilities

Tahan has two  Wild Shape charges and can can cast spells using Level Two Spell Slots.

 Heat Metal ( + )

Damage: 2~16

2d8⁠Fire

Cause a metal weapon or armour to glow red-hot and force the wearer to let go or receive  Disadvantage on  Attack rolls and Ability Checks.

If the creature is only wearing metal armour, it always receives Disadvantage.
If the creature is still touching the metal, you can use a bonus action on subsequent turns to deal another 2d8⁠⁠Fire and force the creature to let go or receive Disadvantage.

 CON Save

 Range: 18 m (60 ft)

 Main Hand Attack ()   –  Quarterstaff

Damage: 1~6

1d6⁠Bludgeoning

Make a melee attack with your equipped weapon.

 Melee: 1.5 m (5 ft)

 Mirror Image ( + )

Create 3 illusory duplicates of yourself to distract attackers. Each duplicate increases your  Armour Class by 3.

Whenever you successfully evade an attack, one of the duplicates disappears.

 Produce Flame ()

Damage: 1~8

1d8⁠Fire

A flame in your hand sheds a light in a 9 m / 30 ft radius and deals 1d8⁠⁠Fire damage when thrown.

Throwing the flame immediately after you conjure it does not cost an  Action. Extinguishing or throwing it on subsequent turns costs an action. The throw has a range of 9 m / 30 ft.

 Thunderwave ( + )

Damage: 2~16

2d8⁠Thunder

Release a wave of thunderous force that pushes away all creatures and objects in an area, while also dealing Thunder damage.

 CON Save

 Melee: 1.5 m (5 ft)

 Wild Shape: Wolf ( + )

Assume the shape of a dire wolf that can  Incite allies and  Distract enemies. The dire wolf has a starting health of 18 hit points that increase every two druid levels.

While in animal shape, you can't talk or cast spells. You take on the attributes of your beast form - excluding your Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores.

When your beast form drops to 0 hit points, you revert to your normal form.

Bugs

• Due to an incorrect method of applying additional spell slots to Tahan's character stats, she only enters combat with one  Level 2 Spell Slot.
