Gameplay
The Justiciar Crusader is a hostile entity that cannot be spoken to. More than one copy of this creature may exist in Baldur's Gate 3, but all copies currently known to exist are found inside the Gauntlet of Shar.[Needs Verification]
While the player is inside the Gauntlet of Shar, certain combat encounters will begin spawning Umbral Tremors[1] that allow various Dark Justiciar enemies to come through. During the encounter before Balthazar's room, a Deep Umbral Tremor in the center of the room uses Permit Passage and spawns a single Justiciar Crusader, then collapses.
Combat Behavior
When a Justiciar Crusader reaches low enough health,[Needs Verification] it may trigger an ability called Umbral Form that appears to have similarities to the Barbarian class's rage abilities.
The description of the Umbral Form "Condition", when viewed on this entity's examine page, reads:
- On a hit, the affected entity deals an additional 1-8 Necrotic damage. It is Immune to non-magical damage, and can make an additional melee attack each turn. It cannot cast spells while maintaining this form.
