Basic process[edit | edit source]
The Alchemy interface can be accessed by pressing H, when out of combat.
Alchemy can be divided into two different crafting processes: creating consumables (potions, elixirs, grenades and coatings), and creating Alchemical Extracts (sublimates, salts, essences, ashes, vitriols and suspensions).
Crafting[edit | edit source]
Extracts can be crafted by combining three of the same ingredient (e.g. combining three Mugwort to create Salt of Mugwort). Consumables can be crafted by unlocking a recipe and combining the two specified extracts - one that is made from a specific ingredient, and one that can be any of a type of extract (e.g. combine Salts of Rogue's Morsel and any suspension to create a Potion of Healing). You should choose which Extract you use in the generic slot carefully as you may need it as a specific component in a different recipe.
Recipes[edit | edit source]
Using the "Extract All Ingredients" button will convert all your raw ingredients into extracts (each ingredient converts into only one type of extract, so do not worry about wasting ingredients). Doing so will unlock the related extracts and consumable recipes, allowing you to then craft your discovered consumables (and manually craft discovered extracts). Recipes can also sometimes be unlocked when collecting new ingredients, or when reading certain books or notes.
Finding ingredients[edit | edit source]
Ingredients can be found out in the wild while exploring, or bought from some traders. Once an ingredient is harvested from the overworld, it will not regenerate. Some good places to search for ingredients include the Apothecary and Apothecary's Cellar in the Blighted Village in Act One, the Waning Moon in Act Two, and Bonecloak's Apothecary and cellar in Act Three.

- ↑ 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 Craft level means here the level requirement for buying the alchemical ingredient.
- ↑ 2.0 2.1 2.2 2.3 Trade level means here the level requirement for buying the consumable item.
- ↑ 3.0 3.1 3.2 3.3 Price Ratio means here the price of the item divided by the price of buying all the ingredients for crafting it, that is, For the generic source ingredient, the cheapest possible choice has been used, except for Vitriols, for which Bonecap (5 gp) has been use instead of Black Oleander (4 gp), because the latter can only be bought in Act Three. Price Ratio value less than one means, that it is cheaper to buy the item than to buy the ingredients for crafting it. To apply Price Ratio to Transmuters with a succesfull roll, double the value.
- ↑ 4.0 4.1 4.2 4.3 4.4 4.5 4.6 This item can only be bought from a certain traders. Those traders are mentioned on corresponding consumable page.
- ↑ 5.0 5.1 5.2 This value is omitted since the source ingredient cannot be bought.

Notes[edit | edit source]
- An issue exists where the recipes for extracts can be inconsistently unlocked, making ingredients unusable even if the player possesses three of them. When this happens, the relevant extract recipe can usually be forced to unlock by dropping the ingredient onto the ground, and then picking it back up.
