Giants are enormous creatures that are humanoid but often have monstrous properties.
Characteristics[edit section | visual editor]
Giants are very large, muscular creatures that may or may not be intelligent. In Baldur's Gate 3, there is only one giant creature type in the game and they are all of Large size.[1]

Ogre[edit section | visual editor]
Ogres are quick-tempered, dull creatures that kill for food and for fun.

Notes[edit section | visual editor]
- ↑ While Ogres are classified as Large (typically standing between 8 to 10 feet tall) rather than Huge or Gargantuan, their official creature type in the game is labled as 'Giant'. Ogres are recognized in broader D&D lore as as "giant-kin" and spells or items that target humaniods (e.g., Hold Person, Charm Person, and Crown of Madness) do not function against them.
