Involvement[edit | edit source]
Bakshi can be found sleeping in the Flaming Fist barracks within the fortress, resting from his duties.
Upon first time entering the barracks, the party finds Fist Reynash trying to pick the lock on Bakshi’s chest of belongings. Regardless of the player character’s decisions while talking to the thieving Fist, Bakshi wakes up and starts a conversation with the party automatically, asking why they are trespassing.
Companion approval and Inspiration[edit | edit source]
Choosing certain lines in dialogue with Bakshi may not only resolve the confrontation peacefully, but also results in approval / disapproval from various companions.
- Bakshi: What in the Nine bloody Hells is going on? Reynash?
- Player character: I'm a new recruit, just getting the lay of the fortress. (Requires successful +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 )
- Player character: Attack. -1 -1 -1 +1 -1 +1 -1
Also, the player character may appeal to having caught a thief red-handed (requires Persuasion check or DC 10 Persuasion check, depending on results of talking to Reynash beforehand). Successful roll here allows for additional dialogue options, also bringing approval/disapproval from various companions.

Failing a roll leads to Bakshi’s attempt to arrest the player character, which leaves them with only options to consent or to attack the Fist, with same approval / disapproval reactions as described above. Exposing Reynash to Bakshi grants an Inspirational Event for the characters of background.
