Blood sages favor distance in combat, preferring spells to support their kind. They focus applying Bloodlust to [[Redcap (creature)|redcaps]] so they can use {{SAI|Multiattack}} before following up with {{SAI|Open Wounds}} to provide more of an advantage to their allies. Otherwise, they use {{SAI|Hold Person}} to leave an enemy helpless to attack.
 
Despite their spells, they are weak in a direct fight because they lack weapons. It is recommended to close the distance and focus on attacking them to break their [[Concentration]] with Bloodlust or Hold Person. Redcap Blood Sages are a type of Fey creature in the Sunlit Wetlands during Act One.

Redcap blood sages serve Ethel Ethel. Born of bloodlust, these creatures keep their caps steeped in blood to survive. They initially appear as sheep to the party but become hostile if the party engage Ethel in combat.

The redcap's bloodthirsty cries fill one of its allies with bloodlust. It heals when it kills a creature and can attack three times.
