Polma is an ogre found in the Goblin Camp in Act One.
Involvement
Act One
Polma guards Priestess Gut's chambers in the Defiled Temple. Convincing Polma to allow the party safe passage through the room requires a DC 22 Ability check of either Persuasion, Intimidation, or Deception. Since a roll of such magnitude is very difficult in the early game, it is difficult for the party to avoid combat if they wish to proceed farther through the room.
It is possible for the party to avoid combat by sneaking behind Polma during her patrols or using the rocky crevice shortcut found in the storeroom guarded by Erna and Yerle.
Act 1 Spoilers! This section reveals details about the story of Baldur's Gate 3.
