Elifer

Harper Elifer is a wood elf ranger who is part of the Harpers in Act Two. She guards the entrance to the Last Light Inn, stopping and questioning any newcomers that happen to arrive in front of the sanctuary.

Involvement

Last Light Inn

Elifer can be first encountered at the Last Light Inn, where she guards the entrance to the sanctuary and main plaza from behind the main barricade, below Terradissia and a few steps away from Darragh. She is typically the first Harper within the inn proper to interact with the party.

If the party saved Lassandra, Karrow, or Meygan from a Shadow ambush by going into the Shadow-Cursed Lands through the Grymforge lift, following them to Last Light Inn will have the party's arrival be met with distrust from Elifer; the surviving Harpers will attempt to vouch for the party, though it will have little effect on the following conversation afterward as Elifer calls on Jaheira to interrogate the new arrivals. The same series of events happen even if the party comes to Last Light Inn through the Mountain Pass, with Elifer stopping the party and calling on Jaheira for further interrogation.

When Jaheira sizes up the party, Elifer attempts to interfere, but is immediately silenced when the High Harper looks her way. Elifer does not react in the party's defence when Jaheira entangles the party, instead pulling her crossbow out at the ready.

If the Tiefling refugees didn't make to Last Light, Flaming Fist Marcus can instead come to the party's rescue. If the party exposes Marcus as a True Soul, Elifer will be join the fight against his summoned Crawling Claws  Stunned.

Resolve the Abduction

When Flaming Fist Marcus attacks the inn and attempts to kidnap Isobel during Resolve the Abduction, Elifer will more often than not fail the save and be  Impaled for the remainder of the battle. If the party fails to protect Isobel, she and everyone in Last Light Inn will turn into a  Shadow-Cursed Undead, save for Jaheira.

Assault Moonrise Towers

Main article: Infiltrate Moonrise Towers

If the party successfully prevented Marcus from capturing Isobel at the Last Light Inn, and once the Nightsong has been freed from her cage and is headed for Moonrise, Elifer will follow Jaheira to Moonrise Towers. However, Elifer is killed during the fight against Absolute forces before the party can arrive. Her corpse can be found a few steps past the Moonrise Towers main entrance, before the steps leading down to the main battle.

Normal weapon damage

Deal regular damage and possibly inflict  Gaping Wounds which cause extra damage on attacks.

Undead and Constructs can't receive Gaping Wounds.

Normal weapon damage

Make a melee attack with your equipped weapon.

 Melee: 1.5 m / 5  ft

 Piercing Strike ()   –  Dagger

Normal weapon damage

Stab an enemy and possibly inflict  Gaping Wounds.

Undead and Constructs can't receive Gaping Wounds.

 Ensnaring Strike ()

Normal weapon damage

Your attack summons thorny vines, dealing Weapon Damage and possibly Ensnaring your target. Ensnared creatures cannot move and take 1d6Piercing damage at the start of each turn. An ally can use their Help Action to try and tear away the vines.

1d8 (1~8) + Spellcasting modifier hit points

Heal a creature you can touch.

Notes

• Elifer wears a set of armor identical to the Scale Mail, but with less saturated Harper colours.
