Involvement[edit | edit source]

Act One[edit | edit source]

Sentinel Olak will question any adventurers approaching the checkpoint and attack any that appear to be trespassing. It is possible to avoid combat by posing as a drow such as through Disguise Self Disguise Self, bringing Sazza Sazza, using Illithid Persuasion, or passing an Intimidation check.

  • [TRUE SOUL] [ILLITHID] [WISDOM] Stand aside (DC 5)
  • [FIGHTER] [INTIMIDATION] To offer my sword to your boss. You can be my first demonstration, if you like. (DC 10 Advantage Icon.png)
  • [INTIMIDATION] I'm a hired sword - employer's inside. Stand aside. Now. (DC 15)
  • [MONK] [INTIMIDATION] I could best all of your sentinels with my bare hands. Let me pass. (DC 15 Advantage Icon.png)
  • [RANGER] [DRUID] [NATURE] Beautiful animal. Does she belong to the Nordiland worgata family? (DC 5)
  • [NATURE] Glossy coat on that animal. Does she belong to the Nordiland worgata family? (DC 10)
  • [DECEPTION] Your leader summoned me. (DC 15)
  • [DETECT THOUGHTS] [WISDOM] Read the goblin's mind.
    • I'm a messenger - here to see Minthara.

If the party attempt to gain entry to the Goblin Camp through a skill check other than an Intimidation check, or the party fail a check, Olak will ask the player character to smear Worg feces on their face to show their "war colours":

  • Grimace and do what you have to do. Astarion disapproves -1 Lae'zel disapproves -1 Shadowheart disapproves -1 Wyll disapproves -1 Karlach disapproves -1
  • Smear the dung across your face. It's not your first time. Astarion disapproves -1 Lae'zel disapproves -1 Shadowheart disapproves -1 Wyll disapproves -1 Karlach disapproves -1
  • [BARBARIAN] [INTIMIDATION] That's nature's bounty. Helps the trees grow. Eat it, or else. (DC 15)
  • [BERSERKER] [INTIMIDATION] I said. EAT IT. (DC 15 Advantage Icon.png)
  • Follow the rules. Astarion disapproves -1 Lae'zel disapproves -1 Shadowheart disapproves -1 Wyll disapproves -1 Karlach disapproves -1

Optionally, the party may fling the feces at the goblins, initiating combat:

  • Wink, gather the dung, and fling it at all four guards. Astarion approves +1 Lae'zel approves +1 Wyll approves +1 Karlach approves +5
  • [ATHLETICS] Scoop up the warm dung and fling it at Olak's face. Astarion approves +1 Lae'zel approves +1 Wyll approves +1 Karlach approves +5

However, only the earlier Athletics check will blind Olak before combat.
