Sovereign Glut is a Myconid NPC in Baldur's Gate 3 and a Temporary Companion. He is first encountered at the Ebonlake Grotto a part of the Myconid Colony in the Underdark. Glut is Myconid Sovereign without a circle since the Duergar killed his myconid colony.

Act One

Walking close to Glut will initiate a dialogue. Glut is interested about the home of the player. Depending on Race and Origin the player has individual dialogue options. Afterwards Glut shares his memory of his fellow Myconids slain by the duergar. If you agree to kill the duergar, Glut wants to join you to avenge his colony.

In the end Glut wants to overthrow sovereign Spaw to be the new sovereign of the myconid colony. You get the choice to either aid Glut or if you say you don't wan't any part of it or you refuse he becomes hostile

Glut has a 'once per turn' reanimate dead spell while in your party. The spell will work on most humanoids e.g. normal npc corpses but only on monstrosity type creatures. You can only have 1 animated dead at a time and they cannot leave the underdark.

Monstrosities that you can re-animate in the underdark include:

- Minotaurs

- Hook Horrors

- Bulette

- Phase Spider Matriarch (If you push her down the central chasm - Landing location is near the minotaurs/Selunite outpost)
