Involvement

Act One

Gerson only appears if the last leader of the goblins is killed while at least one party member is at the Grove. The leader's death causes the grove's atmosphere to instantly change as the tiefling refugees pack for Baldur's Gate. Gerson ensures that this potentially immersion-breaking transition is invisible to the player. Engaging any party member at the Grove in conversation prevents the player from moving the camera in that area while the transition occurs.
