When the party approaches the goblins turn their focus to the party. If Findal's health is restored, he joins the fight as an ally, even if the player is currently escorting Sazza. Once the goblins are dealt with, you can speak to Findal. He is grateful to be saved, though you can tell him you're here to finish the goblins job for them.


He can be spoken to about why he was in the tunnels. He says he was gathering herbs when the goblins caught him, and that the goblins were asking him about a weapon. He warns the players that the area is trapped.

If the players are currently escorting [[Sazza]] out through the Overgrown Tunnel, Findal notices the rescue attempt. The player can hand Sazza over, or attempt to convince him that Halsin told the party to free Sazza with a DC 15 [[Deception]] check, persuade him that Sazza is going to help you destroy the goblin camp with a DC 15 [[Persuasion]] check, or intimidate him with a DC 15 [[Intimidation]] check. If the player passes the check, Findal can be spoken to again for his regular dialogue. If they fail, they have to fight Findal. If Sazza is handed over, she and Findal will fight.

Findal is unconscious in the Underground Passage surrounded by Gresh Gresh, Gurza Gurza, Torrack Torrack, and Worm Worm. The party can ignore him or enter the fray to defeat the goblins. If Findal's health is restored during combat, he will join the fight as an ally even if Sazza Sazza is in the party. He explains that he had been gathering herbs nearby when the Goblins captured him to interrogate about a weapon, of which he knows nothing about.
