Rogue is a character Class in Baldur's Gate 3. Rogues are well versed in the art of stealth and rely on their resourcefulness to be in control of any challenging situation. Rogues use Dexterity as their primary ability score.

Class Information

Rogue's default armour

• Level 1 Maximum Hit Points: 8 + Constitution Modifier
  • Hit points at higher levels: 5 + Constitution Modifier
• Important Ability Scores: Dexterity for physical attacks and Armour Class, Constitution for Hit Points, and (Arcane Trickster only) Intelligence for Spells.
• Saving Throw Proficiencies: Dexterity, Intelligence
• Equipment Proficiencies:
  • Simple weapons, Hand Crossbows, Longswords, Rapiers, Shortswords
  • Light armour
• Skills with Proficiency (Choose 4):
  • Acrobatics, Athletics, Deception, Insight, Intimidation, Investigation, Perception, Performance, Persuasion, Sleight of Hand, Stealth
    • You receive a bonus to every skill that you are proficient in. At Level 1 the Proficiency Bonus is +2.

Level Progression

Through experience, you acquire new power. You gain the following traits.

• Gain Expertise (double your Proficiency Bonus) in 2 Skills you are Proficient in

Sneak Attack

•  Sneak Attack (Melee)
•  Sneak Attack (Ranged)

Once per turn, you can deal an extra 1d6Physical damage to an enemy you have Advantage on, or have an ally next to. You must have a Finesse or Ranged weapon equipped. As you gain levels in Rogue, this damage will go up by adding more d6 die.

Level 2

Cunning Action

•  Cunning Action: Dash:: Your quick thinking and agility allows you to Dash using a Bonus action
•  Cunning Action: Disengage:: Your quick thinking and agility allows you to Disengage using a Bonus action
•  Cunning Action: Hide:: Your quick thinking and agility allows you to Hide using a Bonus action

• Sneak Attack damage: +2d6 (Your sneak attack gains an additional +1d6 damage.)

 Uncanny Dodge

• Use your lightning-quick reflexes to protect yourself. When an attack hits you, you only take half the usual damage.

Level 6

• Gain Expertise (double your Proficiency Bonus) in 2 Skills you are Proficient in

Level 7

• Sneak Attack damage: +4d6 (Your sneak attack gains an additional +1d6 damage.)

 Evasion

• Your agility lets you dodge out of the way of certain spells. When a spell or effect would deal half damage on a successful Dexterity Saving Throw, it deals no damage if you succeed, and only half damage if you fail.

Level 8

• Choose a Feat.

• Proficiency Bonus: +4 (You gain +1 to your Proficiency Bonus.)
• Sneak Attack damage: +5d6 (Your sneak attack gains an additional +1d6 damage.)

Level 10

• Choose a Feat.

Level 11

• Sneak Attack damage: +6d6 (Your sneak attack gains an additional +1d6 damage.)
  • Sneak Attacks damage has been fixed as of Patch #3, previously it capped at 5d6.

 Reliable Talent

• When you make an Ability Check with a Skill you are Proficient with, the lowest result you can roll on the die is 10.
