Act Three[edit | edit source]
Ha-yoon Kim can be found talking to fellow mother Monifa Diallo and her daughter Kimmy just outside the well across from the Open Hand Temple. Monifa fears the Steel Watchers will protect the upper classes and leave Rivington’s residents to their own devices. Ha-yoon Kim tries to reassure her that the Steel Watchers or the Flaming Fist will protect them, but Monifa says she is ready to leave.
Idle banter[edit | edit source]
Monifa Diallo: The Absolute's army will be here any day now.
- Ha-yoon Kim: Stop fretting - the Steel Watch will put a stop to them.
- Monifa Diallo: Those machines will form a circle 'round the upper city as soon as the fighting starts, mark my words. We'll be on our own.
- Ha-yoon Kim: Stop fretting - the Fist will stop them. (if Steel Watch Foundry was destroyed)
- Monifa Diallo: They're too busy with their precious patriars. We're on our own.
Monifa Diallo: I've bags packed for myself and the kids, ready by the door. You should do the same.
- Kimmy: But Mummy, I don't want to leave!
- Monifa Diallo: I know, sweetie, but we'll be safe in the wilds, all right?
- Ha-yoon Kim: The wilds? You throw a fit when there's no hot water - you wouldn't last a day out there!
- Monifa Diallo: It's run or sit on my arse praying! And the gods don't give a damn about us.
- Ha-yoon Kim: The wilds? You throw a fit when there's no hot water - you wouldn't last a day out there!
- Monifa Diallo: I know, sweetie, but we'll be safe in the wilds, all right?
Ha-yoon Kim: Why don't we talk about something else? Did you try that rye bread recipe I gave you?
- Monifa Diallo: Really? The cult is on our doorstep and you want to talk about bread?
- Kimmy: Mummy?
