“The HUNGER. My stomach SCREAMS. Press your FLESH through BARS. A hand. A HEAD. BLOOD. Meat.„
Interactions
Crimson is starved and half-mad with hunger. Druids can make an Animal Handling check with advantage to discern this. Calming Crimson with a gift of meat earns the inspiration Primary Needs for Outlander backgrounds. Any kind of meat will do, and some can be found close at hand in the Temple Kitchen in the Open Hand Temple.
Crimson will be let out of his cage and attack the party during the fight with Dribbles the Clown. If he is fed beforehand, he will be too busy eating to participate in the fight. Afterwards, Crimson will thank the player, explaining that the doppelgangers starved him and then provoked him with bloody rags, whereas the true circus employees always treated him like family.
If the party attacks the animal handlers before approaching Dribbles, they will unlock the cages but Crimson and Shadow-Whiskers will remain neutral entities.
