Rakath Glitterbeard is the dwarven head banker of The Counting House, encountered during Act Three.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

When the party first enters the lower area of the Counting House vaults, a cinematic conversation will trigger, which leads into a combat encounter. If Glitterbeard survives the encounter he can be talked to afterward. He reveals that he works for The Guild and that Nine-Fingers Keene instructed him to bait the Stone Lord into the vaults before killing him with a mimic. Now that the plan has failed, he is in a world of trouble and asks the party if they can return the 10,000 stolen gold to him. The party can pass a dialogue check to convince Rakath that the Guild should pay for half of it.

If the party loots the high security vaults around the room, then Rakath may occasionally call them out for it but he will never actually become hostile.

If the party completes Return Rakath's Gold, he will reward them with High Security Vault n°9 Key which unlocks a vault containing Elegant Studded Leather. Alternatively, the party can either pickpocket the key from him or simply lockpick the vault itself.
