Jord
Involvement[edit section | visual editor]
Jord is Jaheira's adoptive son. He lives in what is now Elerrathin's Home along with Jaheira's other children. Jaheira took Jord in as a ward when he was nine years old after a confrontation with a merchant. In her absence, Jord watched over Jaheira's plants, letting those in her study grow unimpeded.
Combat[edit section | visual editor]
Attacks and actions[edit section | visual editor]
Hold a humanoid enemy still. They can't Move, Act, or React. Attacks from within 3 m / 10 ft are always Critical Hits.
At the end of each turn, the affected creature can make a Wisdom Saving Throw to end this condition.
Take the shape of a Fire Myrmidon.
Your fire myrmidon shape has a starting health of 90 hit points that increases every two druid levels. It can cast Scorching Strike, Myrmidon's Immolation, and Cinderous Swipe.
Idle banter[edit section | visual editor]
Jord will occasionally chat with Rion:
- Rion
- Where's the boy got to, Jord?
- Jord
- The boy is upstairs. The girls were a little rough in their play earlier.
- Rion
- Chauntea's cheeks, I told them to give him space. That's two volunteers for dishes later, then.
- Rion
- Throw some cabbage on your list for the market, Jord.
- Jord
- You know I could just grow it myself. Even a lowly apprentice can manage that much.
- Rion
- I know you can, brother. Just being careful - don't want the young ones going all weird from eating mystical greens.
- Jord
- What do you mean, 'weird'?
- Rion
- Well. Fig.
- Jord
- Ah. Fig. Yeah, fair enough.
- Jord
- Telk says they shut the Church of Last Hope down.
- Rion
- And how did Telk see that, through the bottom of her drinking mug?
- Jord
- She was stone cold sober. Heard it from Mother Aramina herself - the Steel Watch said they were only 'encouraging the refugees into an unlawful gathering'.
- Rion
- Aye. A warm meal and a scrap of rags to sleep on must be very encouraging. Well, the mother knows -
- Jord
- That we have space to spare if she needs it. Aye, I passed it on.
Jord will also occassionally chat with Jhessem:
- Jord
- Bootprints on the tabletop. You haven't been poking around the top shelves again - have you, Jhessem?
- Jhessem
- Of course not. Her diaries are off-limits.
- Jord
- And written in code too, I'm afraid.
- Jhessem
- I know. It's not a very good code.
- Jord
- Well, what are we reading now? More Alaundo?
- Jhessem
- No. I'm looking for any histories about this Absolute.
- Jord
- I wouldn't bother. It's a new god - unknowable and mysterious.
- Jhessem
- It's just another cult. And cults are common as muck.
- Jord
- Huh. 'So sayeth the wise Jhessem.'
- Jord
- Try that hand-bill on fungal poultices. We might be tending the injured here before long.
- Jhessem
- Perhaps you should brush up on the herb-lore yourself, Jord. Mother's vines are looking a little weedy.
- Jord
- Why are the quiet ones always the cruellest?
- Jhessem
- That reminds me. I'm working on our family tree - I've already placed Rion. You're next.
- Jord
- Hah. Well, I'm afraid you won't find us dangling from any of the same branches, sproutling.
- Jhessem
- So we'll graft on another. A druid should know how to do that, shouldn't he?
- Jord
- I... suppose he should, at that.
