Thrumbo is an undead zombie living in Vonayn's Home in the Lower City during Act Three.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

As part of the quest Find Mystic Carrion's Servant, the party is tasked to find Thrumbo for Mystic Carrion.

Thrumbo's location is in a house by the docks that are east of Philgrave's Mansion. He is hiding in a wardrobe in the beach house X: 56 Y: -120. Interacting with the wardrobe causes Thrumbo to come out.

After the player tells Thrumbo that Mystic Carrion is seeking him, Thrumbo will panic and explain that he and his companions were normal beggars until they were killed by Mystic Carrion and unwillingly turned into his undead servants.

Thrumbo can be killed and returned to Mystic Carrion, or helped instead.

After speaking with Thrumbo, he will ask for the players help in freeing him and his companions from servitude. Thrumbo will speculate that Mystic Carrion is a Mummy Lord, who can only be killed once his heart is destroyed, pointing to the cellar beneath Philgrave's Mansion as a good place to start.

While investigating, the party will eventually find Mystic Carrion's Ancient Lair in the Undercity Ruins. There, the player will discover a book revealing his heart to be inside Thrumbo. Returning to Thrumbo with this information, he will eject the heart from his body, where it can then be destroyed by the player.

Once Mystic Carrion is finally dead, Thrumbo and his friends return to the Mansion to thank the player, free at last from the Mummy Lord. Thrumbo will also replace Mystic Carrion as a trader.
