Dwindling is a human child who can be found in Nortale's Hostel in the Lower City in Act Three.

Dwindling and his father are refugees speaking to the hostel's mistress, , in the hall of the establishment.
The family lost their mother, and the father does not know how to properly care for Dwindling. The hostel mistress is ready to shelter both, but first wants them to get rid of the lice which the boy has caught on the way to the city.
