Lavernica's Home is a dwelling in Lower City of Baldur's Gate, located to the south of Bloomridge Park.

Upper Room

The entrance to Lavernica's Home is near the stone archway (X: -76 Y: -70), connecting it to the Lower City Central Wall. The doors are locked, but not outlined in red. Lockpicking it won't result in any Attitude losses from any nearby NPCs.

The house is obviously a dwelling of the groundskeeper of Bloomridge Park . In the north corner of the room is a Cupboard with a list of Park Keeper's Chores on it, and a Park Keeper's Journal and Groundskeeper's Hatch Key inside.

Inside the only room the party shall see several dead spiders and a couple of dead Duergar. However, none of these belong to Lavernica herself. Unlike other murder scenes found through Find Dribbles the Clown quest, there are no symbols of the Absolute on the walls. The hatch opened with the found key is in the opposite corner of the room and leads to Groundskeeper's Basement.

Upon descending into the basement, the party will discover a scene of an outright massacre. On the floor side by side lay several dead Duergar, several Lolth-sworn drow, a mind flayer and even a shattered Earth Elemental.

In the southern wall of the basement there is a massive breach that opens in a huge roundish cave. On the cave's ground, in the centre of ritual circle, lies the body of female Lolth-sworn drow Incontinentia Figgin, while bodies of six another drow females are strewn along the walls. On the Figgin's body the party will find Clown's Severed Leg and one of Orin's Ritual Letters, 'Sendai, the Third'.

Near the breach stands a Wooden Chest with some gold and a couple of random items inside. Small room to the west is empty, except several stacks of hay. In the corner across the basement ladder the party will find several herbs suitable for Alchemy brewing.

Among the corpses several weapons with +1 enchantment can be found.

Notes

• None of the bodies found inside Lavernica's Home and in its basement will yield to  Speak with Dead spell.
• The body of another drow (Danfora of the Kingfish) contains another copy of the 'Sendai, the Third' letter. Other from these (she and Figgin), all corpses are empty of any loot.
• Park Keeper's Journal mentions that its author has noticed some suspicious figures wandering about the park, and pondered over reporting it to the Flaming Fist. This may denote the possible reason for attacking the house, and at the same time may serve as a warning for the party, should they explore the Bloomridge park.
