You aren't a stone mason by any chance? No, I suppose not.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

Act Three[edit | edit source]

Paddo and his fellow stone mason Buntter Buntter are chatting, wondering where the third stone mason Tamrin could be as he did not show up for work. The pair remark that it is unusual as his tools are here, but then again he is not the first worker to have skipped out on the job.

Idle banter[edit | edit source]

Buntter: Where in the hells has Tamrin got to?

  • Paddo Garrard: Wish I bloody knew. This job's a six-hander - we can't do it without him.
    • Buntter: Another one who can't take a bit of hard work.
      • Paddo Garrard: First one to give up before he got paid though.

Paddo Garrard: Come to think of it, Tamrin really didn't seem the type to just bugger off...

  • Buntter: Neither did Berrk. Or Perral. Didn't stop them running.
    • Paddo Garrard: Tarrin worked harder than they did. He was still chipping away when I left last night.
      • Buntter: Never saw when he left though, did we? He could be propping the bar in the Elfsong for all we know.

Buntter: That's funny... Tamrin's tools are still here.

  • Paddo Garrard: Maybe he is coming back then. He'd never leave them behind.
    • Buntter: Chisel, hammer, trowel... Nothing missing at all.
      • Paddo Garrard: If he doesn't come back, I'm having his chisel. Mine's bloody useless.

Paddo Garrard: Think we can get the wall built, just the two of us?

  • Buntter: I doubt it. But we'll try.
    • Paddo Garrard: I really thought Tamrin would stick it out. He was a good mason.
      • Buntter: A good mason turns up for work. Tamrin ain't a good mason.
