Ide is a Tiefling NPC in Baldur's Gate 3. One of the children of the Tiefling Refugees being trained to fight in The Hollow of the Emerald Grove by Asharak.
Act One
Ide can first be encountered in the training area of The Hollow inside the Emerald Grove, being trained by Asharak together with Gan and Umi. He is determined to become a better warrior. He can either be encouraged or discouraged by what the Player Character says to him and the rest of the children when prompted by Asharak.
Act Two
Ide can be found inside the Last Light Inn. If Rolan was encouraged to stay in the Emerald Grove together with his siblings Cal and Lia in Act One, Ide can also be found in the bar section of the Last Light Inn. By talking to him, the player character can find out that Rolan protected the children of the Tiefling Refugees when they were attacked on the way to Baldur's Gate. Ide being one of the children saved, together with the others tries to prevent Rolan from drinking himself to death due to Cal and Lia being captured by the Absolutes forces, to no avail.
If prompted, Ide can reveal that he has the book The Way of the Wanderer, which he wanted to give to Rolan to cheer him up. The player character can use persuasion or deception to take that book for themselves.
Ide can later be found in Moonrise Towers after the defeat of Ketheric Thorm; at the time he is annoyed that Alfira is singing in an attempt to distract them from the anxiety of Mol's kidnapping.
Act Three
Ide can be found in the refugee camp in Rivington along with Umi. He will state that he's very worried about Umi's sudden shift in desire to learn how to fight, and has idle dialogue with Umi about missing Alfira and her singing.
