Liara Portyr is a high-ranking Blaze of the Flaming Fist and the niece of Duke Dillard Portyr Dillard Portyr.

Upon entering the main office of the Basilisk Gate Barracks, the player will encounter Lora Bergauz Lora Bergauz futilely attempting to explain to Flame Portyr that her daughter, Vanra Bergauz Vanra, has gone missing. Portyr seems to be having severe short-term memory issues and keeps forgetting what Lora has said only seconds earlier in the conversation.
