Grout is a forest gnome on a stroll on the docks east of Philgrave's Mansion in the Lower City.

Involvement

Grout is first initially seen on the edge of the docks nearby Philgrave's Mansion and the Heapside Strand waypoint, face to face with Rossina, whom he brought on a date.

Should the Sahuagin attack the docks and both Grout and Rossina survive, Grout will be horrified at the events that happened and in horror at the risk he and Rossina faced, in contrast to his date's more elated reaction.

Notes

  • Grout is one of only two forest gnomes in the entirety of the game.
    • The other forest gnome is none other than his date, Rossina.
  • Grout has a rare and unusual developer comment in the code that's shared with all nearby NPCs in the docks/beach area, simply describing him as "POTENTIAL SIMPLE CHARACTER".
