The Water Queen's House is a Location within the Lower City in Act Three of Baldur's Gate 3. It is located in the south-west corner of the city, south of the waypoint of the Grey Harbour Docks.

Queen Umberlee, the sea Herself,

I dash myself upon the rocks of your favour,

Let me drink the brine of your glory deep into my lungs,

Turn my skull to shell, my ribs to reef,

To earn your blessing,

And to spare me the wrath of your sahuagin.

Supplications to Umberlee

Overview[edit | edit source]

Umberlee Fountain

The Water Queen's House is a temple dedicated to the deity Queen UmberleeQueen Umberlee. It lies south of the Grey Harbour Docks and only has one way of entering. The temple consists of a large portico in the front used for offering and worship by commoners, and the temple proper in the back which is being used by priestesses of Umberlee.

Behind the building is a small beach and an entrance to Water Queen's CellarWater Queen's Cellar.

Portico entrance[edit | edit source]

Upon the party's approaching the temple, Diomira TrellisDiomira Trellis asks if they are there for the funeral and allows them to enter. The funeral itself can be found in the main building. On the eastern side Captains FoharellFoharell and GoldwakeGoldwake are discussing donations. On the western side of the entrance Doctor FairwiseDoctor Fairwise is staring unto the ocean.

In the middle of the portico a huge fountain can be found depicting Umberlee with three sea serpents. On one side of it is an altar where Dilgar SneeseDilgar Sneese can usually be found praying, while on the other is an Offerings Chest, guarded by Star StolittiStar Stolitti.

Party members placing any amount of gold in the Offering Chest receive Umberlee's blessingblessing until their next Long Rest. However, this can only be done once per party member and does not stack with other instances of Bless, such as Sweet Stone FeaturesSweet Stone Features. It is removed if the character respecs. Donating to the chest grants the following inspiration:

Interacting with the chest is not a crime, but taking any of the items out of the chest is, as the items are offerings to UmberleeUmberlee - placed by those wandering around the temple.

Occasionally Fitzy RelmaFitzy Relma, a priestess of Umberlee, comes by to empty the chest and brings the offerings to the treasure pile in Water Queen's Cellar. Stealing from the treasure pile in the Water Queen's Cellar angers Umberlee, causing her to cease blessing future party member donations (existing ones are not cancelled).

Near the end of the portico GloneGlone stands, making references to the ongoing funeral celebration. Several copies of Supplications to Umberlee are near her. Following the way underneath an archway brings the party to the main building. On the sidewall is the text Ceremonial Practices for Initiate Umberlants.
