* The Blushing Mermaid in ''Baldur's Gate III'' appears to be a combination of two Lower City taverns described in the tabletop D&D adventure ''Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus'': the extremely rowdy Blushing Mermaid, located in a normal building in Heapside, and the Low Lantern, located in an old merchant ship at the docks and run by a "captain". Both taverns appear as separate locations in the first ''Baldur's Gate'' video game.
