Involvement[edit section | visual editor]
Act Three[edit section | visual editor]
Svend is in the Blushing Mermaid in the Lower City. Siggy is trying to convince him to skip his upcoming date because their ship is leaving port at first light.[1] Svend insists that he will return on time, despite the recent dangers in the city. The party can interact with them to convince Svend to go on his date or stay with Siggy. A passive DC 15 Insight Check reveals that Siggy has more feelings for Svend than just those of a friend.
The party can choose one of the following options:
- What's life without a little danger? Go on your date - have fun.
- This woman is offering to buy you drinks - for free. Skip the date! (DC 7)
- Brief, fleeting relationships are simply ripples in the pond. Forego your date - your friend is more important. (DC 7)
- This woman clearly loves and worries about you. You should listen to her. (DC 7) (if not a Bard and passed Insight check)
- Leave the angst for the romance novels. This woman loves you - skip the date. (DC 7) (if passed Insight check)
- She's right - you should leave the city while you have the chance. (DC 15) (if failed the Insight check)
- Stay out of it.
Passing the Persuasion Check check convinces Svend to stay and grants the Playing Sune inspiration to party members with the Entertainer background.

Idle banter[edit section | visual editor]
- Siggy
- You know the captain won't wait for you, right?
- Svend
- Yes, I have sailed with him before. Many times.
- Siggy
- Just be sure you're back before dawn.
- Svend
- Yeah, yeah.
- Svend
- Stop worrying.
- Siggy
- I'm not!
- Svend
- Yes you are - that's your worried face.
After Svend is convinced to cancel his date and stay inside the Mermaid, the banter between him and Siggy changes.
- Svend
- Are you sure you don't want another drink?
- Siggy
- Only if you're buying.
- Svend
- You know there might be room in the hammock tonight for two?
- Siggy
- I'm sure the cook would be happy to share with you - so long as you like the smell of ham.
- Svend
- You wound me!
- Siggy
- So do you every time you speak. Now finish your drink.
