Mirie

Mirie is a Sharran Fidelian that manages the front desk at the House of Grief in Baldur's Gate 3.

Involvement

Main article: Investigate the House of Grief

When approached, Mirie asks the party if they are here to become Unburdened. She senses, that the party needs help and recommends The Unburdening to ease the party of their woes. If passing an Insight check, the party can determine, that she genuinely wants to help but there may be caveats:

For getting Unburdened, the party must pay 1,000 gold. They then are led through the locked doors to the Mapping Room by Mirie.

Shadowheart specific interactions

If Shadowheart is in the party, Mirie recognizes her and greets her differently depending on her choice to reject or embrace Shar in the quest  The Chosen of Shar. Shadowheart states, that she wants to see the Mother Superior, but Mirie interjects and states, that she must submit to a Mapping of the Heart first. Mirie then leads the party to the Mapping Room, without having to pay a fee.

 Beckoning Darkness ()

Curse a creature to be haunted by darkness. It takes 2d8Necrotic damage if it enters or starts its turn in a Lightly or Heavily Obscured area.

 Bone Chill ()

1d8 (1~8) Necrotic

Prevent the target from healing until your next turn. An undead target receives Disadvantage on Attack rolls.

 Range: 18 m / 60 ft

 Darkness ()

Create a cloud of magical darkness that  Heavily Obscures and inflicts  Blind to creatures within. Creatures cannot make ranged attacks into or out of it.

 Range: 18 m / 60 ft

 Shadow Step ()

Teleport from shadow to shadow. Afterwards, you have Advantage on your next melee Attack roll.
