If [[Avenge the Drowned]] has been accepted, players will have multiple ways to approach the interrogation. The player's available responses appear to vary in exact wording, but roughly equate to one of the following:
{{Main|Avenge the Drowned}}
# '''Ask Redhammer if he killed a servant of Umberlee.'''
If Avenge the Drowned has been accepted, the party can accuse him of killing a servant of Umberlee:
# '''Tell Redhammer that the servants of Umberlee want him dead.''' -- This will cause him to ''ask'' if the player is here to kill him, but alone does not cause him to become hostile.
# '''Tell Redhammer that he "needs to face justice."''' -- This will always cause him to become hostile.

* {{Dialogue option|You killed one of those servants of Umberlee. Now they want you dead.}}
* {{Dialogue option|It seems you and 'Cap' killed a servant of Umberlee on one of your latest runs. Now they want you dead.}}

{{SpoilerWarning}}
Redhammer will then ask what you're going to do with it and the party can respond by requesting he take them to the Iron Throne, and either forgetting they saw anything or saying they will protect him from the servants of Umberlee. The party can also demand he face justice, which will begin combat.
If you decide to side with him during this quest, his body may later be found in the [[Water Queen's Cellar]], in the section of the map behind an iron gate.

Redhammer is a dwarven submarine driver in Flymm Cargo's Basement. He is initially a neutral entity but has the potential to become hostile.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

Conversation: Flymm Cargo Basement[edit | edit source]

When the party walks close enough to Redhammer he will pull them into a conversation and ask what they are doing. The party then has several options to respond:

  • [DECEPTION] Boss sent me to check up on the situation down here. (DC 15)
  • [ROGUE] [DECEPTION] Boss sent me to check up on the situation down here. (DC 10)
  • [BARD] [DECEPTION] Haven't you heard? I'm the new waterway inspector! (DC 15)
  • [BARD] [DECEPTION] I'm the new municipal waterway inspector under Lord Gortash. (DC 18)
  • [BARBARIAN] [INTIMIDATION] I ask the questions. Now talk. (DC 10)
  • [INTIMIDATION] I have questions. You have answers. (DC 15)

Passing one of these ability checks will result in Redhammer telling the player about the servants of Umberlee getting in the way and the prisoners at the Iron Throne.

Avenge The Drowned[edit | edit source]

Main article: Avenge the Drowned

If Avenge the Drowned has been accepted, the party can accuse him of killing a servant of Umberlee:

  • You killed one of those servants of Umberlee. Now they want you dead.
  • It seems you and 'Cap' killed a servant of Umberlee on one of your latest runs. Now they want you dead.

Redhammer will then ask what you're going to do with it and the party can respond by requesting he take them to the Iron Throne, and either forgetting they saw anything or saying they will protect him from the servants of Umberlee. The party can also demand he face justice, which will begin combat.

If deciding to hand him over to Allandra Grey Allandra Grey when returning from the Iron Throne, his corpse can later be found inside the Water Queen's Cellar, in a pool of water behind an iron gate.

Save the Gondians[edit | edit source]

Main article: Save the Gondians

If Save the Gondians is active, there will be the option to say that Redhammer is "as guilty as" the people imprisoning them. This always causes him to become hostile, no matter how the party got there. Redhammer's other dialogue options about the Gondians otherwise mostly overlap with his dialogue about the Iron Throne.

Asking for a Ride[edit | edit source]

Once asking Redhammer for a ride to the Iron Throne, he will basically ask why they need one and be suspicious. There are multiple options for convincing him. Gortash still finds out, no matter which option is chosen.

  • [INTIMIDATION] Take me to the Iron Throne now. (DC 20)
  • [INTIMIDATION] Take me to the Iron Throne, and I won't blame you for your involvement (DC 18)
  • [INTIMIDATION] I'm meant to go. Trust me. (DC 15)
  • [PERSUASION] Please. Those people are in real danger. (DC 15)
  • [PERSUASION] Please. There's something I need to do in the Throne - something Lord Gortash doesn't need to know about. (DC 10)
  • [DECEPTION] Don't know what to tell you. He sent me ahead and said your payment would follow. (DC 25)
  • Boss doesn't need to know - and I'll make your discretion worth your while. (1000)
  • I know the followers of Umberlee want you dead. Take me there now, and I won't lead them to you.
