Overview
The tavern is located north-west of Stormshore Tabernacle and the Basilisk Gate waypoint.
Locations
Ground floor
In the main area of the Elfsong tavern are many patrons and staff, possibly including Lakrissa.
The tavern has also been the scene of Duke Belynne Stelmane's murder. The party can ask Alan Alyth about the taking place around town. Afterward, they can choose to rent rooms on the second floor, which serve as the party's Camp while in the Lower City. Obtaining a room awards the Inspirational Events: For Once, a Warm Meal (Outlander background), Veteran's Hotspot (Soldier background), Proper Lodging, Finally (Urchin background) and Perks of the Trade if a rebate was gained (Charlatan background).
The Emperor will encourage the party to in the basement.
Gherva Minedale and Stug Minedale are dwarf siblings with a disagreement over Stug's kneecapping job.
Kitchen
In the northern end of the tavern is the kitchen, where Chef Roveer, one of the Bhaalist murder targets, can be informed of his imminent murder. Speaking with him will start the quest to kill the rats in the storehouse under the kitchen.
Two cats in the kitchen, Tambourine and Zambomba can also be found dozing off. If spoken to with , they will also ask the party to clear the rats.
Laff Riot
A room where Harvard Willoughby is hosting the Laff Riot can be found off to the side. The party can join in and try to win. Party members with the Entertainer background can gain the Inspirational Event A Stand-Up Adventurer if they win the comedy contest or At Least They Didn't Throw Overripe Bananas... if they lose.
Elfsong Tavern Basement
In the kitchens is a set of stairs which lead down to the basement where dozens of rats are skittering about.
The party can find a hidden switch along the wine racks which will open a wine barrel leading down to the Knights of the Shield Hideout.
First floor
Stelmane's Private Room
Up the stairs from the tavern, Stelmane's room can be investigated as part of the quest
.Rented Rooms
A set of rooms on the first floor can be rented out by speaking to the owner. After renting them, these rooms will become the new camp location while anywhere in the Lower City or Lower City Sewers. Alan Alyth normally charges 200 gold for the rental, but passing a Persuasion or Perception check allows the party to commandeer the entire penthouse suite for free.
While camping in these rented rooms, Supply Packs for long resting can be purchased from the Dumbwaiter at night.
Roof
A roof-top area is accessible through a ladder and hatch on the second floor. On the roof it is possible to find Alfira.

Notable loot
- Keepsake Ring - Found in the basement, in the middle of the room with the rats.
Notes
- The tabletop D&D adventure Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus includes a description of the Elfsong Tavern, and explains the origin of its name: the tavern is haunted by the spirit of a long-dead female Elf who occasionally serenades the patrons. This is likely the voice heard singing Song of Balduran in the "camp" area upstairs.
- The lyrics of the song, sung by Mariya Anastasova , which hint at the plot of Baldur's Gate 3 and the ultimate fate of Balduran, can be found in a book in a desk in the rented rooms upstairs.
- When approaching Stelmane's room on the upper floor, The Emperor will have the following ambient commentary: "Stelmane's parlour - a place to receive clients and informants. I wonder if it's as I remember it."
