Lae'zel dislikes acts of mercy and compassion, showing submission, respect or diplomacy over force and domination.
The actions and choices listed on this page will raise or lower Lae'zel's Approval.

Greetings
Depending on their approval rating, Lae'zel may greet the player with:
Negative (<0):
- "Speak, and be done with it."
Neutral (0 - 29):
- "Speak."
Medium and up (30+):
- "You must have questions."
- "Is something burdening you?"
- "Greetings."
If Tav/Durge is Githyanki:
- "Yes kin, speak."
When spoken to by someone other than the player character:
- "The pet speaks. Adorable. Now send over your owner, before you make a mess of things."
Romance
Flirting:
- "Speak your mind. I'm listening."
Partnered:
- "How can I assist?"
Partnered - following Act Three romance scene:
- "A welcome face. How can I help?"
Approval
As a Companion character, the interactions listed below will cause Lae'zel to gain approval.
Act One
Act 1 Spoilers! This section reveals details about the story of Baldur's Gate 3.
- Accept Astarion's apology when you meet him and say you would have done the same OR likewise wanted to see Astarion's innards on the ground. +1
- Playing as The Dark Urge, tear off Gale's hand +1
- Refuse to dismiss Lae'zel from your party when Shadowheart demands doing so as a condition for recruiting her. +5
- Fail to persuade or deceive Shadowheart when she refuses to be recruited because you have Lae'zel in your party. +5
- Speaking to Gimblebock near Chapel Entrance, choose the 'Attack' dialogue option +1
- Punch either Aradin or Zevlor after the goblins' attack +1
- Refuse to help Zevlor persuade Kagha to let the tieflings stay +1
- Scold Elegis for being scared of a few goblins OR tell her to get to digging their own graves +1
- Tell the tielfling kids trained by Asharak that they are going to die +1
- Assist Guex in training (using Athletics, Insight or Detect Thoughts) +1

Goblin Camp At the front gate and in the outer camp:
- Deceive the goblins, say 'you can't be serious', then fling poo at them
- Tell Tracker Grikka that you will get answers from prisoners. +1
- Yell "Boo, get off the stage!" at Volo as he performs +1
- Keep insulting Crusher until he attacks +1
- Take Shadowheart to the Chicken Chase in the Goblin Camp, and tell her not to be hasty
In the Shattered Sanctum:
- Pick a fight with Priestess Gut in the throne room or in her chambers. +1
- Tell Torturer Spike to let you show him how it's done +1
- Tell Brakkal (the Maglubiyet devotee in the cage) that the gods are fickle.
- Tell Minthara that Sazza was too stupid to understand you prior +1
- Suggest Anders to help him. +1
- Side with Karlach during Wyll's confrontation with her +2
- At the tollhouse, tell the merchant Cyrel that you'll take the supplies and everything else she owns.
- Intimidate or persuade Brem to give you the artist for free or to lower his price +1
- Speak to Oskar Fevras and call him a slave
- When Glut asks you to help him usurp Sovereign Spaw, refuse saying that you'll have no part of this or that you'll kill the treacherous myconid instead. +1 (immediately starts fight with Glut)
- In Festering Cove, tell BOOOAL he is a fake god and tell him you will kill him and take his power
- Push Corsair Greymon off of the boat on your first voyage to Grymforge. +5
When dealing with Ward Magmar:
- Ask Magmar how to get a slave of your own. +1
- When attempting to take the elevator, tell Magmar that saving Nere is a distraction +1
- When talking about travelling to Moonrise Towers, say that Moonrise holds the answers you need. +1
- Playing as a Drow or as a Githyanki, tell Magmar that he is squandering his slave on mundane tasks. +1
- After killing Magmar and Pistle, tell Skickpit to use the elevator to surface (further options to convince him won't bring more approval). +1
- Express contempt on the dead, skeletal Dark Justiciars
- Convince the Deep Rothé to give in to their rage and attack the duergar
- Provoke a fight against Elder Brithvar by either taunting him to try and take your gold OR suggesting to rat him out to Sergeant Thrinn about his conspiracy against Nere
- After finding Philomeen (and letting her go away), talk to Lunkbug and mention she wants Laridda to move on, or tell Laridda directly.
- Side with Elder Brithvar when confronting Nere
- Playing as a Githyanki, tell Ellyka that githyanki patrol means nothing to you, getting her to stand down
- Encounter with Voss and the patrol:
- Let Lae'zel speak. +10
- Pass the Deception check. +5
- After the githyanki patrol departs, persuade her to calm down
- Agree with Lae'zel and attack Lady Esther for trying to Steal a Githyanki Egg +1
Creche Y'llek Upon entering the creche:
- Let Lae'zel speak for the group when you enter the Gith Creche and are questioned by Gish Far'Aag +1
- Show Gish Far'aag the Mysterious Artefact to gain entry into the Creche
At the infirmary:
- Let her speak for the group when talking to Ghustil Stornugoss about trying to remove the tadpoles. +1
- Approach the zaith'isk +1
- Demand to use the zaith'isk first, reminding her that she would not be here without your guidance +8
- Let Lae'zel use the zaith'isk +10, and then either:
- Save her from the device during the first phase +1 (to do this, succeed a passive DC 14 Performance check, then succeed a DC 30 Wisdom check or DC 30 Persuasion check).
- Let her proceed to the second phase, then stop the purification +1 (succeed a DC 21 Wisdom check or DC 21 Persuasion check or DC 30 Deception check) This choice will permanently lower Lae'zel's INT by 2.
- Let her endure until the third phase, then get her out of the zaith'isk +1 (succeed a DC 21 Constitution check or DC 21 Persuasion check or DC 30 Deception check) This choice will permanently lower Lae'zel's INT and WIS by 2.
- If you use the zaith'isk and escape it, then persuade the doctor that the tadpole is dead
In the classroom:
- Playing as a Githyanki, tell Sa'varsh Kethk that he should kill Varrl himself if the youth won't fight +1
- Offer to fight Youth Varrl when Sa'varsh Kethk asks for a challenger +1, and then indeed kill him +1
- Successfully deceive, intimidate, or persuade Varrl to obtain his book about Orpheus +5
At the hatchery:
- Successfully persuade Varsh Ko'kuu to let you take the githyanki egg, telling him:
- That you'll take it to a better crèche +1
- OR That you'll raise it yourself +1
- OR, Playing as a Githyanki, say you'll see it becomes the greatest ghaik-slayer
In captain's quarters and Inquisitor's chamber
- When speaking with Kith'rak Therezzyn, surrender the Mysterious Artefact to her +1
- Successfully persuade Lae'zel to stand by your side when deciding to give the Mysterious Artefact to Ch'r'ai W'Wargaz
- Give W'Wargaz the Mysterious Artefact
- When you speak with W'wargaz, remind Lae'zel of the zaith'isk and that you cannot trust any of these githyanki. +1
- Kneel before Vlaakith
- Accept Vlaakith's demands to enter the Mysterious Artefact
- Open you mind to Lae'zel after meeting Dream Visitor
Camp/Conversation
- Say that illithid powers to manipulate others can't be trusted even if they're useful. +1 (This dialogue is available only after using them for the first time in a conversation).
- Say that you will find the cure after she describes Ceremorphosis +3
- Ask her if she's sure the Creche is the only way for a cure, then tell her that their information is valuable +3
- When Wyll arrives at the camp searching for Karlach, tell him she's not a threat and he knows it. +1
- At night, when she intends to kill everyone before turning into mind flayers, talk her out of it +5
- After the 2nd Dream Visitor visit, say you distrust the visitor too
- Praise Lae'zel for killing her own classmates after visiting the classroom in Creche Y'llek +2
- Ask details about Githyanki nurseries after visiting the one in Creche Y'llek +3
- After being marked as a traitor by Ch'r'ai W'wargaz, praise her for her show of faith to Vlaakith still
- When Kith'rak Voss wakes you up at the camp during long rest to discuss the Mysterious Artefact (after the events at the Crèche):
- Accept her offer to have sex in the future +5
- Accept her challenge for a duel further along in her romance

Act Two

- Answer Harper Lassandra: "A nightmare in the dark." +1
- As a ranger, pass intimidation check and tell hyena you will fight the goblins for it. +1
- Decline to drink the Jaheira's spiked wine. +1
- Pass an intimidation check to kick His Majesty the cat out of "your" territory (apparently, the cat sticks around anyway). +2
- Tell Isobel Marcus intends to kidnap her after successfully passing the wisdom check to probe his mind.
- As The Dark Urge, after Marcus attempts to kidnap her, tell Isobel that your blood is telling you to kill her. Resist the urges, and then say, "I'm not going to follow my order. You will live."
- Select "I bring death" when talking to Gerringothe Thorm.
- Drink with Thisobald Thorm.
- Share stories with Thisobald Thorm.
- Persuade Malus Thorm to have the Sisters "operate" on each other.
- As a bard, after the Sisters have "operated" on each other, persuade Malus Thorm to "operate" on himself.
- Persuade Balthazar to give you the bell to summon Flesh +1
- With Mother Dearest in your inventory, ask "What happened to your mother?"
- Convince Yurgir to kill himself.
- Convince Madeline (channeled through He Who Was) to stab herself as atonement for her betrayal; and to continue.
Act Three
Act 3 Spoilers! This section reveals details about the story of Baldur's Gate 3.
- Tell Dribbles his scarecrow joke is corny.
- Say "All hail the High Harper!" when you chose Jaheira as Dribbles' assistant. +1
- If volunteering yourself, tell Dribbles you treat everyone with kindness.
- Volunteer Halsin for Dribbles' circus act.
- Reassure Halsin after choosing him to go on stage with Dribbles the Clown ("Go on, Halsin!").
- After choosing Lae'zel as your love interest for Zethino:
- As a ranger, offer to track down Yenna's mother.
- Give Yenna coin. +1
- Persuade or Intimidate Danzo Arkwright into giving you his payment from the Zhentarim.
- When helping the Cursed Monk inside the Sentient Amulet, tell him you don't want to inherit his curse. +1
- Resist the madness when accepting the monk's curse after delivering his amulet. +1
- Accept the Deal with the Gnomes quest from Manip Falcäo +1
- Get into Wyrm's Rock by showing the Admission Pass at the gate. +1
- Asking Counsellor Florrick what she will do now after she's been freed from Wrym's Rock Prison +1
- Agree to slay Orin and become allies with Gortash
- Agree to stay for Gortash's inauguration with a simple, "All right."
Camp/Conversation
- Encourage her to renounce Vlaakith once and for all.
- Pass the Insight check to discover the true source of her resentment after rejecting Vlaakith and tell her, "You're grieving for the future you'll never have. Vlaakith took everything from you."
- Tell her, "You're quick to pledge yourself to Orpheus' cause. What about your needs and wants?"

- Successfully persuade or deceive Shadowheart when she refuses to be recruited because you have Lae'zel in your party. -1
- Order her to stand down or be silent when interrogating Zorru -5
- After letting Lae'zel interrogate Zorru, admonish her for being rough. (Halfling only) -1
- After interrupting her interrogation of Zorru, call her cruel and cold after she threatens you for questioning her judgement as a Good Cleric. -1
- Use Persuasion/Intimidation or Detect Thoughts to convince Arka to not shoot Sazza -1
- Tell Sazza that you will free her from her cage -1
- Free Sazza from her cage and tell her to follow you -1
- Soothe Silfy after the steals from you -1

- If freed from the zaith'isk, successfully use Deception on Ghustil Stornugoss to claim you are cured. -1
- Talk to Youth Varrl about the story of Orpheus, if you found the first chapter in the Arcane Tower -1
At the hatchery:
- Tell Varsh Ko'kuu that the last githyanki egg is clearly a dud -1

- At the Last Light Inn, drink the wine Jaheira offers
- While using Speak with Animals, flatter the cat, His Majesty, at the Last Light Inn
- Pay 2,000 for the key from Matis. -1
- Free Dolly from the Moonlantern carried by Kar'niss
- When judging with He Who Was, choose any response to Madeline, that judges her actions; either that she is not to be forgiven or that it wasn't her fault (formulation of answer is based on class).
- When judging with He Who Was, order Madeline to stab herself, then tell her it was enough +1, OR tell her this wasn't her fault -1.
- Find Oliver 2nd time playing hide and seek (might be due to "cheating" using Volo's Ersatz Eye, needs confirmation). -1
- Agree to peace with the rats after interacting with the broken effigy. -1
- Tell Lyrthindor there's no need for more violence or apologize.
- Use the Neural Apparatus to release everyone in the Tadpoling Centre
- Accept the Waking Mind's offer of the Githzerai Mind Barrier in exchange for destroying it.
Act Three
