The "Mask of Regret" is an NPC in the Overgrown Tunnel. She is magically enslaved by "Auntie Ethel" the Hag.
== Involvement ==
Like the other [[:Category:Hag_Victims|Masks]], the Mask of Regret is initially hostile by virtue of wearing a {{SmRarityItem|Whispering Mask}}, placing her under the {{cond|Charmed|charming}} effect of {{SAI|Part of the Flock}}.  


===Act One===
If removing her [[Whispering Mask]] when she is knocked unconscious, her mind will collapse and kill her as long as the hag is alive. Her mask cannot be pickpocketed off of her in the [[Overgrown Tunnel]].


If the party manages to encounter her after Ethel was killed (taking her deal and letting her go won't work; taking her deal and killing her will), she will no longer be hostile and will have regained her sanity. She explains that she initially sought out Ethel's aid to cure her mother's dementia.


If Auntie Ethel is killed without killing the Mask of Regret, she says she will return to Baldur's Gate and take action against other Hags to prevent the suffering of other victims.
She alludes to the existence of a hag coven and vows to travel to [[Baldur's Gate]] to shore up support for other hag victims.


In Act 3 she can be encountered again as part of the quest [[Help the Hag Survivors]], now named as Hydrangea Wubb.

The Mask of Regret is a Lightfoot Halfling member of Auntie Ethel Auntie Ethel's flock. She is encountered in the Overgrown Tunnel inside the Riverside Teahouse / Gnarled Teahouse in Act One.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

Like the other Masks, the Mask of Regret is initially hostile by virtue of wearing a Whispering Mask, placing her under the charming charming effect of Part of the Flock Part of the Flock.

Act One[edit | edit source]

If removing her Whispering Mask when she is knocked unconscious, her mind will collapse and kill her as long as the hag is alive. Her mask cannot be pickpocketed off of her in the Overgrown Tunnel.
