Hazelnut is a human child who can be found arguing with his mom south of Baldur's Mouth in the Lower City of Baldur's Gate in Act Three.

Act Three

Hazelnut can be encountered trying to run away and being told to go back to the hostel. He hates doing chores at the hostel and would rather go back to their real home.

Idle banter

Mama Falice: What were you playing at, running away?

• Hazelnut: I don't want to do chores anymore.
  • Mama Falice: So you just disappeared? Do you know how worried I was?

Hazelnut: Why do we have to stay here? All we do is work.

• Mama Falice: Everyone has to contribute, my darling. We all have to take care of each other.
  • Mama Falice: Once the washing is finished, you can play all you like.

Mama Falice: You must never, never run away like that again. Do you understand?

• Hazelnut: I just wanted to go home.
  • Mama Falice: One day we will. But not yet.
