Kaet Ling is a human merchant negotiating with Djingo Trader Djingo in the Grey Harbour Docks during Act Three.

My father always told me, 'Kaet, commerce is like warfare. Fight for it like your life's at stake'.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

Act Three[edit | edit source]

Kaet Ling can be seen attempting to haggle with Djingo in order to purchase saltpetre, a chemical used to make explosives for the upcoming fight. Kaet knows the upcoming fights will require war materials and is hoping to make a profit.

Kaet's attitude towards the party may change depending on the outcome of Stop the Presses Stop the Presses.

Idle banter[edit | edit source]

Pheebs Splayfoot: All right, how much for the saltpetre, including fees?

  • Trader Djingo: Depends. How many barrels?
    • Pheebs Splayfoot: All of them.
      • Trader Djingo: 500 gold, at least 100 in coin.
        • Pheebs Splayfoot: That's harbour robbery, especially when it's been in storage for months.
          • Trader Djingo: We both know you'll sell it for twice that to the armoury once the city's under siege.
            • Smiley Gheef: Too right. I'll go 600.
              • Pheebs Splayfoot: Hey, I was here first. 700.
                • Kaet Ling: A thousand gold, all in cash, no notes.
                  • Trader Djingo: Sold! A pleasure doing business with you, saer.
