“You dare steal from the very sea that birthed you? Enjoy these last breaths - they shall be your last.„
Overview[edit | edit source]
The Water Queen's Cellar is a cave found underneath the Water Queen's House. It can be accessed by exiting the house from the backside, traversing its small beach and going through a passageway. Its main purpose is storage of treasure which has been donated via the Offering Chest in the portico area.
The cellar is considered a private area of the Church of Umberlee and cannot be explored without trespassing; the use of stealth is recommended.[1]
Locations[edit | edit source]
Main area[edit | edit source]
When entering the area the party must pass a puddle of water unto a stairway which leads up. On the stairs Ohara Ohira and Tinsy Ralpp are discussing the recent death of Holli Dylford.
On the higher ground Elonia, Gira and Raheni are standing next to a table on which a dead Kuo-Toa lies. The table has seats and seven Silver Knives implying the Kuo-Toa is to be served as food. Next to the table is a chest which contains gold, a ring and a Trap Disarm Toolkit.
Treasure room[edit | edit source]

A fence guards the back of the cellar. Going through it is a room with a treasure pile containing ~400 gold, a gem, jewelry, Mermaid Whiskey and a Fish. Looting the pile earns the Wavemother's ire, triggering an Ice Storm upon the party, summoning hostile Sahuagin in the water pool further in the back and ending the party's ability to get blessed when making an offering at the Offering Chest in the Water Queen's House while also turning all the Waveservants in the temple hostile.
In the corner are another three dead Kuo-Toa. The corpse of Redhammer can also be found here if the party sided with the Church of Umberlee and handed him over to Allandra Grey as part of Avenge the Drowned.
Hidden room[edit | edit source]

At the back of the cellar, passing a DC 15 Perception Check reveals a nearby Sandstone Wall which can be breached. Behind it is another small room with waterfalls and a Wooden Chest containing gold, a Silver Chalice and some alchemical ingredients.
