Upon entering the main office of the Basilisk Gate Barracks, the player will encounter Lora futilely attempting to explain to Flame Portyr that her daughter, Vanra, has gone missing. Through progressing the quest to Save Vanra, it is revealed that Auntie Ethel has bewitched Portyr to prevent her from investigating Vanra's disappearance. If the player kills Ethel and returns to Portyr, she appears to have fully recovered save for some headaches and the vague memory of a "Fey-like creature".

Notes

  • Liara Portyr is sometimes referred to as 'Flame' rather than Blaze in various books and notes. It's unknown if these were written before she was made Blaze, if it means to suggest she was recently demoted and re-promoted, or if it's simply a mistake.
