Mirkon is a Tiefling child NPC in Baldur's Gate 3. He is the objective of the Investigate the Beach quest.

Involvement

Act One

While exploring the Secluded Cove in the Druid Grove Mirkon can be found in a strange trance. Exploring the beach further or speaking to Mirkon results in the appearance of Harpies, which attack the party and Mirkon.

Provided that Mirkon survives the encounter with the harpies, he tells the party to visit Mol and gives the password to the Tiefling Hideout. After saving Mirkon, Gale addresses that he sees himself in the child.

There are multiple triggers that may cause his death. If a trigger is activated, the party can find his dead body in the harpy's nest. Some known causes are as follows:

  • Using a Long Rest after getting into range of Mirkon on the beach.
  • If the Goblin Camp leaders are killed, his death is triggered.
  • If Minthara is betrayed after being lured to the Druid's Grove, his death is triggered.
  • If Karlach is recruited to your party, his death is triggered.[Needs Verification]

Act Two

If Rolan was persuaded to stay with the Tiefling Refugees, Mirkon can be found in the room near the bar of Last Light Inn.

Act Three

Mirkon can be found next to Mattis, near the Requisitioned Barn in Rivington.
