Overview | Approval | Disapproval | Banter | Location Remarks | Romance |
A collection of Wyll's remarks and voicebarks in various locations or plot scenes throughout the game. In some party combinations, a particular party member (including Custom Origin (Tav)) have the priority to voice their line. In these cases, Wyll's line is not used at all, or he utters a responding remark, if there is any.
At some points, the locations remarks are common for all possible party members, including Custom Origin (Tav). These are not included here.
Also, some lines provided for Wyll initially (as well as for other party members) have been cut or rendered inactive during further development.

- (Found the Gold Key): “A key. But what's it unlock?”
- (Found the key, already tried to open the chest): “I can guess what this opens.”
- (Found a socket in Shadowheart’s pod): “Interesting. Looks like it needs something to activate it.”

- (Found the Eldritch Rune, hasn’t spoken to Shadowheart): “What's this? Looks like it should be plugged in somewhere.”
- (Saw dozens of pods in the Transformation room): “Holy hells - will you look at that?” (played only if Lae'zel hasn't entered the room with the player character, otherwise her line will be played)

- (Sat in one of the chairs surrounding the pod in Transformation room): “What are those voices?”
- (Responding remark 1): “I don't hear any voices...”

- (Responding remark 3): “Come on. They'll know we've broken out by now.”
- (Picked up either Slave Mind or Dark Mind): “A brain. Whose was it, I wonder?”
- (Picked up the second one of these two): “How many brains do they need?”

- (Mind Flayer died in the fight with cambions): “Dead, thank the gods. Could be me next, if I don't jump ship.”
- (Mind Flayer and cambions dead, Wyll reminds himself of the transponder): “Better move. The transponder's waiting.”
- (Interacting with Nautiloid Tank 1): “Well isn't that something?”
- (Interacting with Nautiloid Tank 2): “Another one of... those.”

Overgrown Ruins and the Dank Crypt[edit | edit source]
- (Entering the crypt from the Refectory): "Dust everywhere and not a prayer to be heard."
- (Looked at Jergal's statue in the crypt, check):
- (Successful): "That's Jergal, 'Scribe of the Dead', walked right out of a legend!"
- (Failed): "Nice statue. Can't place the face."
- (Saw the skeletons): "Well-armed for scribes, I reckon. Wonder what happened."
- (Responding remark): “Let's move before we meet the same fate.”
- (After skeletons have been defeated): “They were fighting to protect something dear to them. I can always tell.”
- (Responding remark): “How about we slip out of here, before the next bone party starts?”
- (Sneaked past enlivened skeletons): “Too close a call, and for what - a handful of baubles?”
- (Responding remark): “Let's just slip out of here - the chill's getting to me.”
- (Ran away, escaped from the crypt): “All that trouble, and for what - a handful of baubles?”
- (Found the Book of Dead Gods): "Chained and locked. A banished evil? Or a hidden truth?"
- (Found a Soul Coin): "Never saw a coin quite like this. Fancy."
- (Entering the locked part of the crypt): "Nobody's been here in an elf's age."
- (Trying to press a button that deactivates an avoided-so-far trap): “Stuck. Is this thing broken, or what?”
Emerald Grove and The Hollow[edit | edit source]
Approaching the Grove:
- (After defeating raiding pack of goblins): "Good and dead. The Sword Coast is better off for it."
- (Responding remark 1): “"Standard goblin raiding party. Question is, was it plunder they wanted - or did they seek something more?"”
- (Responding remark 2): “A goblin camp must be near. Which means we've not seen the last of them.”
Resolving the initial confrontation between Aradin and Zevlor:
- (Aradin was knocked out by Zevlor): “Oof - I bet he broke that fellow's nose. Friendly place.”
- (Zevlor was knocked out by Aradin): “Oof - I bet he broke that tiefling's nose. Friendly place.”
- (Responding remark to any of leaders' punch): “The situation's tense, clearly. I bet these folks could use a few helping hands.”
- (Aradin was knocked out by a player character): “Nice punch. Maybe next time, try a simple hello.”
- (Zevlor was knocked out by a player character): “Nice punch. I bet that'll go over well.”
- (Responding remark to any of player character’s punches): “The situation's tense, clearly. I bet these folks could use a few helping hands.”
- (Reaction to Zevlor’s words about more goblins): “More goblins on the horizon? Sounds like this place needs a saviour.”
- (Responding remark): “The situation's tense, clearly. I bet these folks could use a few helping hands.”
Resolving Sazza's fate:
- (After Sazza told the party about Priestess Gut): “A goblin healer? She couldn't possibly know a cure... could she?”
- (Responding remark): “Heh - I'm not about to enlist a goblin's help, thanks very much.”
- (Helped Sazza escape from the grove): “I've turned goblins into corpses - but never into comrades.”
- (Responding remark): “Ugh - I hope we don't end up regretting this.”
- (Let Arka shoot Sazza): “Nice - she saved us the work of killing that goblin ourselves.”
- (Responding remark): “Well, this makes one down. Only a few thousand more to go!”
In the Sacred Pool and the Inner Sanctum:
- (Trying to recognize the ritual chanted by the druids): “That ritual - it's no garden-variety growth spell.”
- (Responding remark): “ If it's got your hackles rising, then I wager we should steer clear.”
- (If Arabella was killed by Teela during the trial): “Such cruelty among druids. I've never seen the likes of it.”
- (Responding remark): “The girl had her whole life ahead of her. Gods, such wanton cruelty.”
- (In Halsin’s chamber, saw dead drow): “A dead drow. And the druids did this?”
- (Responding remark 1): “Let's not overlook the tadpole in a jar.”
- (Responding remark 2): “A wolf statue, too. What's the story here?”
- (Responding remark 3): “What manner of misfit curates a collection like this?”
- (Read Halsin’s research on tadpoles): “This 'Halsin' fellow was studying the parasite.”
- (Responding remark): “We best find him. He'll know how to cure us of this damned infection.”
- (Read Halsin’s research on tadpoles, knows druid’s missing): “As I expected. This druid Halsin is key to our cure.”
- (Responding remark 1): “We know the man, we know our mission. Let's move out.”
- (Responding remark 2): “Assuming the goblins haven't killed him by now.”
- (Responding remark 3): “Oh, he's alive. And we're going to find him.”
- (Opened the druids’ library with the magical circlet): “Nice. Time to see what's lurking back there.”
- (Saw a magic-imbued glaive in druids’ library, knows the story): “There's dark magic in this blade. The glaive from the druid's notebook, no doubt.”
- (Haven’t read about the weapon’s story): “A sharp blade, with sharper magic. Best be careful with this one.”
Dealing with Nettie:
- (Nettie locked the party up after they refused to take Wyvern Poison): “For someone who just heard we're all beasties-in-waiting, she reacted... well.”
- (Responding remark): “Let's keep our condition on a need-to-know basis. As in, nobody needs to know.”
- (Feeling sick after Nettie scratched them with a poisonous thorn): “Ngh - I'm not feeling so good. Is this Nettie's doing?”
- (Sickness getting worse after a long rest without cure): “Ngh - I'm getting worse. There's got to be a way to treat this poison...”
- (Almost dying after second long rest without cure): “This... this is it. It's too much...”
- (Cured from Nettie’s poison): “That was quick - I'm feeling better already.”
- (Agreed to take Wyvern poison from Nettie): “You can toss that poison. We won't be needing it.”
- (Responding remark 1): “Poison's not my style. Nor's becoming a mind flayer. We'll have to make sure to steer clear of both eventualities.”
- (Responding remark 2): “We're a long way from a measure that drastic. A very long way.”
- (Responding remark 3): “I'd go ahead and toss that bottle. We won't be needing it.”
In the Secluded Cove:
- (Charmed by a Harpy's song, 1): "Yes, yes. Sing to me."
- (Charmed by a Harpy's song, 2): “Such rapturous music. I can hardly resist...”
- (Charmed by a Harpy's song, 3): “Sing to me! Sing!”

Elsewhere in The Hollow:
- (Saw the Strange Ox): "That ox - it can't keep its eyes off me."
- (Watching at the map in Zevlor’s cave): “Elturgard? Should've known. We're a good ways from Baldur's Gate.”
- (Responding remark): “Goblins and gnolls are marked on here, too. In us, they'll meet their match.”
- (Near a guarding statue in the Underground Passage): "Glowing eyes? I know a trap when I see one."

- (Found dead tiefling children after goblins' attack on the grove): “Helm forgive me - what have I done?”
- (Found the vines all around the grove blocking the entrance): “Forget it. Even the Blade can't slice through those.”
- (Found the vines all around the grove, knows about Rite of Thorns): “Vines everywhere. They did it. They really did it.”
- (Tried to attack the vines): “Not even the Blade can hack through that mess.”
The Forest and the Owlbear Nest[edit | edit source]
- (Dealt with Andrik and Brynna, not knowing about the cult of Absolute): “Absolute, True Soul - what's all that about?”
- (Responding remark): “Sounds like a cult. And the Absolute is bending their ears.”
- (Heard about the cult previously from Sazza): “The Absolute, eh? Same name that goblin Sazza mentioned.”
- (Responding remark): “A cult, from the looks of it. And word's spreading fast.”
- (Saw Edowin’s tadpole exerting from his body): “Is it just my imagination, or is this bug-plague spreading?”
- (Responding remark): “Ugh. Can't believe one of those things lives in my brain.”
- (Found Exsanguinated Boar): “Strange - dead as a doorhinge, but nary a wound.”
- (Healed the Mother Owlbear): “She's still worked up - not even a nice 'thank you' grunt.”
- (Found Mother Owlbear killed by goblins, if the party have spared her earlier): “Goblins got her. Hope she got a few of them before she went down.”
- (Responding remark): “Noble creature, she should be proud for the fight she put up.”
- (Found a shrine to Selûne, check):
- (Successful): "I'll be damned - a shrine to Selûne."
- (Failed): "Look at that. Unlikely place for a shrine."
- (Near the magically sealed chest): "Feel that? Magic. A spell's sealed that chest tight."
- (Found a Selûnite Prayer Sheet, check):
- (Successful): “A prayer - and with the same symbol as that chest. Seems I found myself a key.”
- (Failed): “An old prayer. Curious symbol inscribed here too.”
- (Tried to open without disarming magical seal): “Ouch! Looks like this'll take some doing.”
- (Opened the chest by reading the prayer): “Nice. Time to see what's inside.”
- (Picked up the scroll with the Selûnite Rite): "Coming-of-age rites for children born into worship of Selûne. A touch drastic, no?"
Sunlit Wetlands/Putrid Bog[edit | edit source]
- (Saw Auntie Ethel disappeared after helping her against brothers): “'Helpless old biddy' - a classic routine. I'm kicking myself for not seeing through it.”
- (Responding remark): “I reckon the sister's in trouble. We need to pay Ethel a visit.”
- (Found the brothers dead, haven’t met them): “Not just dead... eviscerated.”
- (Responding remark): “What a mess. Human or beast, the killer's a monster.”
- (Have encountered them prior, arguing with Ethel): “Poor souls. I suppose they never found their sister.”
- (Responding remark): “Eviscerated, no less. A seasoned killer's work.”
At the Druid Sanctuary/Decrepit Sanctuary:
- (Read Kagha’s recruitment letter from Shadow Druids): “Kagha, a Shadow Druid. How did I not see it coming?”
- (Responding remark): “The woman's a menace. I say it's time for a chat.”

- (Failed): "Whatever did this, the Blade stands ready."
- (After defeating Gandrel, stood by Astarion): "You stood by an ally - can't fault you for that. But a vampire among us? It doesn't sit right."
- (Responding remark): “Let's hope he keeps his fangs to himself. I enjoy a good meal, unless I'm the main course.”
- (Betrayed Astarion to Gandrel): “I - I can't blame you for giving him up. Vampires are monsters, by any account.”
- (Responding remark): “I'll breathe easier knowing my neck is safe from his fangs.”
In the Riverside Teahouse/Gnarled Teahouse:
- (Near the fireplace in hag’s house, check):
- (Successful): “An illusion. Wonder what's hiding back there...”

- (Responding remark): “Something tells me our little passengers won't be so easy to evict.”
- (Ethel fled from the house, peaceful encounter): “I wonder where she's gone off to.”

- (Entering the Entrance Gallery): “Well isn't this a cheery place?”
- (After speaking with Lorin): “A mind flayer? Not a particularly good omen.”
- (Responding remark): “We'll prove him wrong, I'm sure of it.”
- (Responding remark): “Probably another of the hag's mind games. Nothing more.”
- (Lorin died after being forced out of his corner): “Dead, boom - just like that. What happened?”
- (Responding remark): “Poor fellow. We should've left well enough alone.”
- (Put on a Whispering Mask and saw through illusion): “What in the... everything's changed.”
- (Failed a save against Ethel’s mask): “Damn it. Get out of my head!”
- (Freed from Ethel’s masks mind control): “Damn - she got deep in my head.”
- (Other hag’s victims act neutral when wearing a Whispering Mask): “Nice - the mask lets me blend right in.”
- (Wandered into Ethel’s lair, the hag is not there): “Ugh - what is that smell?”
- (Responding remark): “Be ready. It's the perfect place for an ambush.”

- (Responding remark): “Did the hag do all this?”
- (After Ethel’s set Mayrina’s cage on fire): “Damn it... the cage! Got to put out that fire.”

- (Responding remark): "The sketching's rough. A work in progress, I reckon."
- (Found another set of blueprints on the wall near the smithy): “The blacksmith's blueprints. Greatsword, dagger, and... a sickle, I think.”
- (Responding remark, if already knows about adding Sussur Tree Bark): “Seems the sussur bark was a later addition.”
- (Added sussur bark to the melting forge, has read blueprints): “Excellent. All I need now is to place a dagger, sickle, or greatsword inside.”

The deal with Lump the Enlightened:
- (Blowing Lump's War Horn, if the ogres are dead): “What was I thinking? I can't summon a dead ogre!”
- (Responding remark): “It's like I always sometimes say - you can't summon dead ogres no matter how hard you blow.”
- (Blowing the horn, while staying at the camp): “No ogres. Good thing, too - they'd rip the camp to shreds.”
- (Blowing the horn, if the ogres are too far away to hear it): “Yoo-hoo! Hellooooooo? Guess he can't hear me.”
- (Blowing the horn, if deal with the ogres is done): “What's the point? The ogre's making new deals now.”
- (Responding remark): “Forget it - the ogres are done with me.”
Elsewhere in the village:
- (Found a hopscotch game): “Oh, how sweet! I used to sneak out to play this with the Lower City kids.”

- (Found the Curious Book): “A bottle of wine? And a rare one at that. This book's owner had excellent taste.”
- (Responding remark): “Although it's a shame about the book. No amount of wine is merrier than a roaring tale.”

- (the party does not know about Halsin missing): “Their prisoner's gone - one of those adventurers, maybe. Might've fled for the grove.”
- (the party knows Halsin was missing): “Hells, they've been torn to shreds. Halsin's mess, I reckon - must've left for the grove.”
- (the party met him afterwards): “It's where they kept Halsin. Scrappy fellow, judging by this mess.”
- (the party knows only about the adventurers): “Their prisoner left quite the mess. One of the adventurers, you think?”

- (Successful): "Grooves and ridges here, still fresh. The marks of a monster."
- (Failed): "Grooves and ridges here. Still fresh, too."
- (Saw a Hook Horror up on the cliff, eating a gnome): “Hook horrors - there, on the cliff!”
- (Heard Hook Horror calling for reinforcement in battle): “What in the... oh, that can't be good.”
- (Saw Bulette’s holes, check):
- (Successful): "Hells - these are bulette burrows. Land sharks."
- (Failed): "Tunnels everywhere. Not sure I want to know what dug them."
- (Bulette burrowing beneath): “What in the...”
- (Bulette approaching, check):
- (Succeeded): "I think that was… a bulette! Never faced one. Not yet, anyway."
- (Failed): "Whatever it was, I stand ready."
- (Bulette reappeared after hiding underground): “Back again? Let's do this!”
- (Approaching the Sussur Tree): "That tree - somehing is off. I can't say what."
- (Feeling Sussur Tree impact): "What in the… All my energy is draining away. Must be these flowers."
- (Found Myrna's dog collar after digging out the grave at X: -41 Y: -212): “Is this... a dog collar? There are runes all over it.”
- (Responding remark, read Letter from Amarith): “Belonged to Lenore's dog, I bet. It must be magical, right?”
- (Responding remark, hasn’t read the letter): “Odd. Wonder what it's for.”
In the Arcane Tower:
- (Approaching the entrance, saw scorched ground from Arcane Turrets): “Scorch marks? Watch your step, caution, tread lightly, and so forth.”
- (Read any poem book in the tower): “Pleasant enough. But I'm partial to heroic sagas myself.”
- (Felt Weave emanations from the Chest of the Mundane, check):
- (Successful): “Feel that tingle? That chest practically oozes magic.”
- (Failed): “There's magic nearby - I can feel it.”
- (Put an item IN the chest): “A chest of transformation. This could be fun.”
- (Took an item OUT of the chest): “It - it transformed. Nice trick!”
- (Interact with lights without activating Power generator): “Nothing. There must be some way to light them.”
- (Activated Power generator): “Arcane flames. Handy.”
- (Blocked lift in the Arcane tower, successful):
- (Successful): “This thing runs on magic. There must be a way to get it working.”
- (Failed): “Stuck. Annoying.”
- (Try to trigger it second time): “Still stuck.”
- (Pressed the strange button in Lenore’s bedroom, doesn’t have the collar): “Doesn't seem to do much. And why's it so low?”
- (Pressed the button, has Myrna's collar in inventory): “Ooh - I can feel that collar vibrating. What'd you do?”
- (Pressed the button, a party member wears the collar): “Ooh, what did you do? The collar's vibrating.”
- (Pressed the button, got a Raw Steak): “Oh - the collar buzzed, and the food came down. What a clever system.”
- (Pressed the button second time): “Oh, it's stopped. Good news for my delicate figure.”
- (Put on the ring obtained from Bernard): “Is that a button there? I wager the ring exposed it.”
- (Sat down on the Stool of Hill Giant Strength): "Holy... I feel powerful. Nice chair indeed."
- (Got up from it): "And poof - the power's gone."
- (Destroyed the stool and took the leg club): “Hm - that chair leg might be good for smacking monsters around.”
Collecting the lore on the Adamantine Forge:
- (First learned about the adamantine forge): “An adamantine forge - the stuff of legends.”
- (Looted disguised book from Xargrim, check):
- (Successful): “'Flumph Mating Rituals'? Not likely - this book's masked by magic.”
- (Failed): “My my - 'Flumph Mating Rituals'?[3] The drow had peculiar taste.”
- (If already interrogated Xargrim's corpse): “Must be the book the dead drow groaned about. Concealing spell's still holding strong.”
- (The book transformed, the party knew it was disguised): “Just as I suspected - the book about flumphs has changed. Time for some light reading...”
- (The party didn’t know): “I'll be - 'Flumph Mating Rituals' was more than it appeared. Time for some light reading.”
- (Looted Filro’s records, not knowing about the forge): “'Protector'? 'Magma'? Doesn't make a lick of sense.”
- (Deciphered the record scroll): “'Only in magma destroyed'. Whatever's protecting that forge, it'll take some fierce heat to crack it.”
- (If learned about the forge first from Filro): “An adamantine forge, hidden deep in the Underdark - the stuff of legends.”
- (Responding remark, successfully deciphered drow’s records): “'Only in magma destroyed'. Whatever's protecting it, it'll take some fierce heat to crack it.”
- (Failed to decipher the record scroll): “But what's this about a 'hot hammer'? Doesn't make a lick of sense.”
- (Second mention of the forge): “More forge talk? I figured it for a tall tale. Now I'm not so sure.”
- (The party knows about it from Filro’s corpse): “The drow with the hook horrors - he was searching for this Adamantine Forge too.”
- (The party knows about it from Filro’s notes): “Seems there's more than one searching for this forge. No word of its guardian this time, though.”
- (The party knows about it from Dhourn/Dhourn’s corpse): “The Adamantine Forge. Our statuesque friend Dhourn was keen to find it.”
- (The party knows about it from Dhourn’s Memory Shard): “So much talk of this Adamantine Forge - and the memory shard already showed us where to find it.”
- (The party knows about it from Xargrim’s corpse): “The Adamantine Forge - our dead drow friend was searching for it.”
- (The party knows about it from Xargrim’s disguised book): “This Adamantine Forge - the same that disguised journal mentioned, surely?”
- (The party knows about it from Skarjall): “An Adamantine Forge - seems that duergar was on to something after all.”
- (Third mention of the forge): “More mention of the Adamantine Forge - now to find out if it lives up to the legends.”
Dealing with Mushroom Circles in the Underdark and beyond:
- (Found dead drow at the foot of the crag, check):
- (Successful): “Ouch - this drow must've taken quite a fall.”
- (Failed): “A dead drow? I wonder what happened.”
- (Found illusory mushroom “ladder” leading toward crag top at X: 67 Y: -256): “Can't something just be what it appears to be? Just once?”
- (Found illusory wall on the top of the crag): “Nice illusion. Time to see what it was hiding.”
- (Approaching a mushroom ring, knows its purpose): “These ones aren't glowing like the others. I wonder why.”
- (Not knowing the purpose): “Hm - those mushrooms are arranged in a circle. Is that normal?”
- (Entered a mushroom ring, knows its purpose): “Nothing? Well that was anticlimactic.”
- (Not knowing the purpose): “Nothing. Not sure what I was expecting.”
- (Activated the mushroom ring): “They changed colour. That's got to mean something.”
- (Teleported from the Underdark into Overgrown Tunnel, Ethel is dead): “The hag's lair. Glad I don't have to deal with her again.”
- (Teleported from the Underdark into Overgrown Tunnel, Ethel survived): “The hag's lair. It's a bit brighter than the Underdark, anyway.”
- (Teleported from the Overgrown Tunnel to the Putrid Bog): “Phew - from murk to muck. Not sure it's an improvement.”
- (Teleported from the Overgrown tunnel into the Underdark, hasn’t been to Underdark earlier): “Suffocating shadows, dank musty air. This is the Underdark...”
- (Teleported from the Overgrown tunnel into the Underdark, has been to Underdark): “Aaand I'm back in the Underdark. A shortcut worth remembering.”
- (Teleported from the Putrid Bog into Overgrown Tunnel): “This place again? Can't wait to leave it behind for good.” (this line is the same regardless of Ethel was killed or survived)
- (Teleported from the Underdark to the Putrid Bog): “Swamplands. Why couldn't it have been an inn, or a winery?”
- (Teleported from the Underdark to the Sunlit Wetlands (Ethel’s illusion is still intact)): “To the wetlands, is it? Why couldn't it have been an inn, or a winery?”
Elsewhere in the Underdark:
- (Entering Zhentarim storehouse from the Underdark): "That mark - the Zhentarim are here. Thieves and murderers, the whole lot."
- (Entering Zhentarim storehouse, descending from Zhentarim Hideout): "Quite a collection. Smugglers' stash, I wager. But so far down..."
- (Found a drow resupply stash at X: 71 Y: -220): “Must've been a drow supply cache. Nothing left but some empty boxes.”
- (Heard Baelen’s cries for help): “Cries for help. And I'm not about to ignore them.”
- (Killed all Kuo-toa in Festering Cove, thus dissipating BOOOAL’s magic): “So much for the 'Lord of Murder'. Pretty fishy, if you ask me.”
Grymforge[edit | edit source]
At the Clan Flameshade camp:
- (Arriving at the Grymforge): “Incredible stonework. Nothing like it topside - that I've seen, anyway.”
- (Met a Scrying Eye): “That orb - a scrying eye. No telling who's watching through it.”
- (If already seen one in the Goblin Camp): “A scrying eye, just like the goblins had. No telling who's looking through it.”
- (Responding remark to both options): “Keep your distance. We don't want more trouble than we can handle.”
- (Looted a dead Scrying Eye): “The eye's scrying days are over.”

- (Failed): “This pin resembles a harp. I'm sure I've seen this symbol before...”
- (After talking to Stonemason Kith): “Ancient history is overhead and underfoot. You just need to know where to look.”
- (Responding remark): “Incredible, when I think of it. So many legendary tales, lost to deep time.”
- (Found Dark Justiciars’ skeletons): “Sharran corpses, remnants of battle. This is the stronghold Halsin mentioned.”
- (Saw crates with old Sharran gear at X: -668 Y: 400): “Abandoned to the elements. What a shame - this was quality gear.”
- (Found a crossbow in an old crate, History check):
- (Successful): “Remarkable crossbow. Sharran-made, if I'm not mistaken.”
- (Failed): “Magnificent bow. Not of duergar make, I wager.”
- (Looted a piece of adamantine, knows about the forge): “Hmm... something shiny in this stuff. Bits of adamantine, most like - hardest stuff in the world.”
- (Doesn’t know about it): “Hunk of metal with shiny flecks. Hardly a collector's item.”
- (Found defaced statue of Shar near Nere's cave-in, recognized the symbol of the Absolute): “This is the Absolute's symbol. Someone's been marking their territory.”
- (Did not recognize the symbol): “Someone's defaced this Shar statue. Not sure what this is though.”
- (If Nere died in the cave-in): “Everyone's gone - which means Nere's rotting back there. Might as well grab his head.”
- (Looking at the Shar temple down from the ruined bridge): “A dead end by the looks of it - but what a view!”
Exploring the Sharran city:
- (Found the traces of Thulla’s escape, check):
- (Successful): “Footprints, I wager. I should look closer.”
- (Failed): “Marks on the ground. I should look closer.”

- (Successful): “Lux? A Light spell should disarm the chest.”
- (Failed): “Hells. That's no help at all.”
- (Approaching the location of the Harper Stash): “This is the place, if that letter was right. Now where's that Harper's stash?”
- (Saw the Harpers’ rune, hasn’t read the Undelivered Letter, check):
- (Successful): “A Harper rune? A supply cache must be near, unlikely as it seems.”
- (Failed): “I've seen markings like this before. But I can't quite place where.”
- (Saw false chests, check):
- (Successful): “Out in the open, though? Not likely. I smell a trap.”
- (Failed): “Well then. Let the search begin.”
- (Entered a banquet hall, check):
- (Successful): “That smells rank. The remnants of a Shar ritual, I'm guessing. To eat and drink your fill before killing another...”
- (Successful 2): “That smells rank. The remnants of a Nightfall feast, I'm guessing.”
- (Responding remark): “To just eat and drink, then finish it all by murdering someone for Shar? These people were monsters.”
- (Failed): “Not an ideal banquet location. I suppose the feast hall was already booked.”
- (Found a loose stone at X: -600 Y: 422 through check): “That stone looks mighty odd. Someone's been messing with it.”
- (Found a place where Philomeen climbed up the ledge, knows about her escape): “Climbing gear? This must be how the gnome escapee climbed up.”
- (Does not know about her): “Rope? Someone climbed up here. I'll wager a gnome got creative.”
- (Found a Devilfoil Mask): “What a strange mask. Is it bronze? Gold, even?”
- ( check successful): “A merregon's mask, I wager. Hell's soldiers.”
- (Failed): “Who would make a metal mask like this? Or wear it?”
- (Arcana check successful, knows about merregons’ habits): “Wait. It's a merregon's - an infernal soldier's. And they don't fight without a commander...”
- (Doubts whether the merregons’ commander is dead): “Whatever commanded the merregons, I hope it's long gone.”
- (Tried to put on the mask): “It's surprisingly heavy. How would you secure it?”
- (Found a second mask): “And another mask. How many are there?”
- (Found the third mask (?)): “Creepy. I swear the eyes follow me around.”
- (Found the Idol of Shar, the party knows that Shadowheart is a Sharran): “An icon of Shar? Shadowheart will want to see it.”

- (Interacted with the Orb of Darkvision): “Hells. I can feel only... shadows. They're clouding my thoughts, my memories.”

- (Stepped on a platform held by chains, leading to the Adamantine Forge): “This thing's falling apart. It can't be safe - can it?”
In the Adamantine Forge:

- (Interacting with mould chamber, has at least one Mould): “There's an opening here. Looks like I found a home for that mould.”
- (Doesn’t have any moulds): “There's a place for a mould here. I'll need one If I want to forge something.”
- (Filled only crucible, hasn’t any moulds): “How does this thing work? Raw metal won't forge itself.”
- (Filled only crucible): “Nice. Now for the mould.”
- (Placed only mould): “In it goes. Now to find something to forge.”
- (Filled and placed both, seeking how to activate): “The forge is ready to go. I just need to start it.”
- (The platform moves down after activating): “Downwards it is - and a stylish ride, no less.”
- (Trying to forge without lava): “No joy. Mould and metal, but it still needs something more.”
- (If has already crafted one piece): “The hammer can't do much without a little heat to move things along. The lava.”
- (Forged the first item, Grym appears): “Would you look at that? Someone's come to say hello.”
- (Fighting Grym, the forge hammer doesn’t damage it): “Hardly dented the thing! Think, damn it, think...”
- (Successfully damaged Grym with the hammer): “And... boom! Take that, you hunk of junk!”

- (Failed): “A lava elemental? That thing could melt armour and flesh alike.”-->
The Risen Road and Mountain Pass[edit | edit source]
In and around the Tollhouse:
- (Saw dead gnolls on the bridge to the Tollhouse): “Dead gnolls. And is that... sulphur I smell?”
- (Saw rockfall and wreckage near the Tollhouse): “What… a cave-in? No - that wouldn't explain the bodies.”
- (Agreed to help Anders, but found out that his crew are actually Zariel’s servants): “We slay Karlach, and we save these souls from eternal damnation. Justice will be served.” (also serves as a Responding remark here)
- (Entering Tollhouse basement): "I'll never get used to the stench of death."
- (Stepped on a pressure plate in the tollhouse vault): “That did something, all right. Just not sure what.”
- (Found the skeletal couple under the broken bridge): “Soldiers at rest. I bet those bones have some stories to tell.”
- (Successful check): "That's Harper and druid gear. Old comrades, it seems."
- (Failed): “Their gear might still be good. It'd be a shame to let it rot here.”
- (Failed 2): "Soldiers at rest. Although maybe their armour's still good?"
Fighting gnolls and dealing with missing shipment:
- (After one of hyenas fled): “This won't be quick - that hyena's run off for help.”

- (Responding remark): “A strange sight indeed - and I've seen a great many.”
- (Found the missing shipment, Rugan dead, hasn’t met Zarys): “Now that's what I call a chest. More than just a few trinkets in there, I wager.”
- (Responding remark): “Well - let's pry it open and have a look.”
- (Found the missing shipment, Rugan dead, has met Zarys): “Zarys was looking for this chest. She will pay handsomely if I return it intact.”
- (Responding remark): “Hm - but it does raise a question: what if its contents are more valuable than the reward?”
- (Found the missing shipment, conspired with Rugan, has met Zarys): “Zarys' chest? I bet it holds all sorts of treasures.”
- (Responding remark): “We could always return it. Or maybe...”
At Waukeen's Rest and Zhentarim Hideout:
- (Failed a check to kick out the front door): “Hmm. Looks like I'll need to find another way in.”
- (Walking near the burning door in the tavern): “Yank open that door and it's kaboom. We need a plan.”
- (Cannot lift the fallen beams off Benryn): “Ugh - it won't budge!”
- (Found Mirileth’s corpse): “It's Miri - it's got to be.”
- (Responding remark): “I... I don't think she made it.”
- (Saw the haystack with hidden dowry, check):
- (Successful): “Something's hidden in that hay.”
- (Failed): “How has this hay not gone up in flames?”
- (Found a secret entrance to the Zhentarim Hideout): “Nice.”
- (Illusory wall in the hideout, successful check): “Ooh - an illusory wall. Wonder what's hiding back there.”
- (After the Flaming Fist guard refused to attack the Zhentarim): “Flaming Fist letting Zhent run free? Never thought I'd see the day.”
Meeting with the githyanki scouts near the Mountain Pass:
- (Found giant scratches near Mountain Pass entrance): “What's this? Something's slashed up that rock.”
- (Successful check): “The work of a dragon, no doubt in my mind.”
- (Failed): “Whatever made those scratches, it's big. Very big.”
- (Saw a red dragon): “A red dragon - here? What a thrill!”
- (Responding remark): “I tangled with a dragon once. Never forgot it.”
- (Saw a red dragon, Frightened): “A red dragon? That can only mean trouble.”
- (Responding remark, Frightened 1): “By the dead gods - it's so much bigger than I remember.”
- (Responding remark, Frightened 2): “Let's hope we don't catch its eye.”
- (Responding remark, Frightened 3): “Try not to catch its eye. Unless you fancy an inside view of its gullet.”
- (Read a roadsign after dragon’s attack) “So much for the detour.”
- (Picked up dead mercenary’s shield 1): “They didn't stand a chance. The shield is still glowing from the heat.”
- (Picked up dead mercenary’s shield 2): “Poor fellow. This shield was no match for a red dragon's breath.”
- (Responding remark): “A single shield could never withstand a red dragon's breath.”
- (Leaving the area after Lae'zel ran off to speak with Voss): “Oh hells - Lae'zel is still back there. Should I just leave her?”
- (Responding remark): “And miss what happens next? I wouldn't dream of it.”
- (Reacting to the sight of Lae’zel’s dead body): “Let's... let's just keep going, all right?”
Rosymorn Monastery[edit | edit source]
Walking down the Rosymorn Monastery Trail:
- (Looking at the valley vista from the viewpoint X: -30 Y: -100): “Pretty enough to paint. Too bad I don't have a canvas. Or paints. Or the skills.”
- (Looking at the monastery ruins from afar): “The state of this place. Why would the githyanki build a crèche here?”
- (Responding remark): “I reckoned it might look a little more... gith-y.”
- (Recognizing Lathander depiction in the statue at X: -63 Y: -133, check successful): “Lathander, god of dawn and renewal.”
- (Tried to use the cable car, check):
- (Successful): “Ugh - that took some doing. Mechanism must be corroded.”
- (Failed): “Ugh - it's stuck. It can never be easy, can it?”
- (Found Ketheric’s orders on capturing Ulder Ravengard, the party doesn’t know the latter is Wyll’s father): “Grand Duke Ravengard - abducted to Moonrise Towers? Hells - we need to talk.”
- (The party knows of Wyll's lineage): “Hells - the Absolute's forces have taken father to Moonrise Towers.”
- (Continuing remark): “It's settled, then. I must make my way to Moonrise.”
- (Came up to a broken bridge at X: -106 Y: -184): “No getting through that way, is there?”
Exploring the ruined monastery:
- (Came up to the body of a cultist killed by the gith guard): “The enemy of my enemy is my friend, they say. But I'm not so sure they're right.”
- (Approaching the statue of Lathander at X: 73 Y: 4): “The undead, smashed to bone. Lathander's sun does not rise on the soulless.”
- (Heard the warning from speaking bust, check):
- (Successful): “A Magic Mouth[4] spell? Whoever spoke those words is long dead, I wager.”
- (Failed): “A talking statue. Now was that a warning - or a command?”
- (Found the corpse with a longsword in the chest, check):
- (Successful): “That's one outlandish blade. Githyanki, I reckon.”
- (Failed): “That's one sharp blade. Made for a quick kill, at least.”
- (Found active Guardian of Faith spell): “Guardian of Faith? That's one powerful spell.”
- (In the Ceremonial room, removed the weapon from the altar): “The glowing's stopped, whatever that means.”
- (Placed a non-Ceremonial weapon on altar): “Oh - a perfect fit. That's unexpected.”
- (Heard Gremishka meowlings): “I hear weeping. And not the happy kind.”
- (Recognized Gremishkas, check successful): “Gremishkas? Magic's out of the question, then - no telling how they'll react.”
- (Used magic close to a Gremishka): “Those things are trouble. The less magic, the better.”
- (Entered a combat with drunk Kobolds): “That kobold smells like it's been swimming in wine. One spark, and things could get... heated.”
- (Pass by an inactive Lathander's Lance on the roof, knows the where crèche is): “This weapon is massive. Is this what obliterated those gith?”
- (Doesn’t know the crèche location): “This thing's massive. Would hate to have it pointed at me.”
- (Found a githyanki skeleton at X: 45 Y: 19, has been to the crèche): “All that's left of this githyanki are bones and armour. One of the temple's raiders from long ago?”
- (Hasn’t found the crèche yet): “Githyanki armour. Githyanki bones too, I'd wager.”
- (The Giant Eagle calling for help in combat): “Hells - the damn bird's screeching for its chums!”
Crèche Y'llek[edit | edit source]
- (Entered the Dormitory[5]): “Communal sleeping. I presume the githyanki don't value privacy.”
- (Read the parchment with the rules on the dormitory wall): “Even more rules than a Flaming Fist outpost. Who could keep track?”
- (Set Gremishka loose from the gith kids’ chest): “What in the Nine Hells...”
- (Responding remark): “So that's what they were harassing. Cheeky little imps. The children, I mean.”
- (Looking at the devices in Stornugoss’ laboratory): “Quite the collection. I wonder what all these contraptions even do.”
- (Breathed in the Strange Gas in the Hatchery): “Ugh, what's that smell? It's enough to cripple a kraken.”
- (Looking around in the Hatchery): “I'm not sure what bothers me more - the smell or the humidity.”
- (Saw anatomical diagrams in the Classroom): “Oh, well, that is a lot more of the illithid anatomy than I'd ever hoped to see.”
- (Hit a training dummy in the far end of the Classroom): “Mind flayer training dummy? Makes sense. The githyanki despise all things illithid.”
- (Started a fight with sa'varsh Kethk and his students): “Watch it. The students are as fanatical as their teacher.”
- (Opened the apple crate in the corridor): “I would've thought the githyanki prefer fresh meat to fruit.”
- (Read the map in Captain’s Quarters): “A map of the Sword Coast? The githyanki are planning something...”
- (Killed Therezzyn, reminding themselves about the Inquisitor): “One target down - but we're not done yet. Time to find this 'inquisitor'.”
- (Interacted with the deactivated barrier): “Wouldn't you know - the barrier's already down.”
- (Walking the bridge that leads to Inquisitor’s Chamber): “This place is spookier than a scarecrow's ghost.”
- (Responding remark): “Agreed - the sooner we get out of here, the better.”
- (Responding remark 2): “I don't suppose this Inquisitor will have plain answers for us.”
- (Responding remark 3): “I don't know. Are these things ever that simple?”
- (Try to use an inactive Planecaster, before speaking to W'wargaz): “Not happening.”
Searching and obtaining the Blood of Lathander:
- (Found empty altar for the fake Blood of Lathander X: 74 Y: 67): “If the 'Blood of Lathander' was so important, maybe an altar display wasn't the best storage solution.”
- (Read the note in the Dawnmaster’s secret stash): “The Blood of Lathander. Sounds precious - it can't be far from here.”
- (Picked up the fake Blood of Lathander): “So this is what passes as a holy relic? I expected a little more drama, honestly.”
- (Noticed the statues in Inquisitor’s Chamber, check successful): “Grooves on the floor. I should give these statues a good push.”
- (If the party read Old Maintenance Records at X: 102 Y: 26): “These statues should move, if that book's to be believed.”
- (Failed to rotate the statue in Inquisitor’s Chamber): “Hells - it won't give.”
- (Hit the stuck statue weakly): “A good hit - but not good enough.”
- (Solved the statue puzzle in Inquisitor’s Chamber): “A hidden door? Time to poke around a bit.”
- (Upon entering the Dawnbreak Gate): “Incredible. Do the githyanki know of this place?”
- (Took the Blood of Lathander, using Dawnmaster's Crest): “Well. That was quite the security system.”
- (Responding remark 1): “High risk, high reward. This relic must be something special.”
- (Responding remark 2): “I'm hardly surprised. That thing looks powerful.”
- (Managed to stop the armed Lance): “Well - tragedy averted, I suppose.”
- (Responding remark 1): “I'll say. Being smothered by rubble is not how I'd like to spend my final moments.”
- (Responding remark 2): “Let's think twice before getting grabby in the future, yeah?”
- (Managed to stop the armed Lance, answering to Lae'zel): “And we stopped it. For now, that's all that matters.”

- (Ran to the right roof): “If I don't get off the roof, I'm as good as ash!”
- (Ran to the left balcony): “Almost in the clear!”

- (Jumped to the left roof 2): “Damn it all. Time to get off this roof.”
- (Destroyed the crèche with the Lance): “What in the Nine Hells have we done?”
- (Responding remark): “So much death and destruction - and for what? A mace? A dusty artefact?”
In the Astral Plane:
- (The player character returned from the Beckoning Cave): “Well. Whatever happened in there, you don't look any worse for wear.”
Act Two[edit | edit source]
Shadow-Cursed Lands[edit | edit source]
- (Entering the Shadow-Cursed Lands for the first time): “This place is darker than dark, as if the shadows could cast shadows.”
- (Responding remark): “We've got to push through. Unless a passing griffon offers a ride, it's the only way to Moonrise Towers.”
- (Looking at the distorted land within Shadow Curse): “Hells. Is the curse so powerful that it can rip apart the earth beneath it?”
- (Looking at the former battlefield): “A great battle was fought here - I can practically hear the din of blade against blade, axe against shield.”
- (Found old war machines, check):
- (Successful): “Siege weapons like this have been out of use for a hundred years - maybe more.”
- (Failed): "These weapons look ancient. Who's using this stuff?"
- (Found non-dousable torches): “ Hmm - it won't go out. Must be some trick to it.”

- (Successful): “A-ha! The jig is up, kid.”

- (Feeling the effect of Shadow Curse, looking for light source): “Please - out of the dark, before it claims me...”
- (Responding remark): “The air reeks of death. Not sure how long I can hold out. We need light...”
- (Responding remark): “Yes - light. Something to cast off the cursed shadows.”
- (Responding remark): “Please - the dark has nearly drained me. We need light.”
- (Feeling the effect of Shadow Curse, answers to Shadowheart who doesn’t, 1): “Well - I've got to dispel these shadows, before I fall to this damned curse.”
- (Answer to Shadowheart, 2): “I can't say the same. My self, my spirit, is being leeched out of me.”
- (Negated the Curse with a light source): “I'll be. The light wards off the shadows.”
- (A torch snuffed out in deeper curse, 1): “Hells. Torchflame has no chance against these cursed shadows.”
- (Remark 2): “The torch is no help, damn it - the shadows here are too strong.”
- (Remark 3): “No use. Flames can't hold up to this curse.”
- (Remark 4): “There went the torch. The curse is mighty strong here.”
Dealing with Shadow Curse victims:
- (Found the Dead Druid's Journal, check):

- (Found animal tracks near Ellie May’s grave): “Paw prints? Something's skittered through here. Pretty recently, too.”
- (Found animal’s burrow down the ledge): “A bit of bone poking out, there. Do I even want to know?”

- (Set Dolly free but angered her): “One small pixie. One big mouth.”
- (Responding remark to an angered pixie): “For such a small thing, she's got one big mouth.”
- (Found drider’s route starting point): “Reckon here's where that drider convoy came from.”

- (Successful 1): “Meenlocks - damnable things. A bit of light or fire should scorch those tender eyes.”
- (Successful 2): “Meenlocks? Damnable things.”
- (Responding remark to successful): “Their eyes are accustomed to darkness. A bit of light or fire will sort them right out.”
- (Arcana check failed): “Gone gods - what hole did this thing crawl out of?”
- (Responding remark to failed): “Keep your neck out of those claws. One snip and you're done for.”
- (Found a Selûnite shrine in the cellar, answer to Shadowheart (Sharran)): “A haven within a haven. The prayerful seek solitude - even Selûne's faithful.”
- (Answer to Shadowheart (non-Sharran)): “In a land of darkness, Selûne's faithful learn make their own light.”
- (Saw Rolan’s projection after he left the inn): “He won't last long in the shadows. What in the Nine Hells was he thinking?”
- (Noticed the Strange Ox): “The ox from the grove. How in the Hells did it make it all the way here?”

Near Isobel's sarcophagus:
- (Found the tomb open, before reading the plaque): “Empty tomb. Either cleaned out by thieves, or - well, I'd rather not think about it.”
- (Haven’t met Isobel yet): “Isobel? So Ketheric has a daughter. Is she still alive, I wonder?”
- (Met Isobel, does not know her parentage): “Isobel? Isn't that the cleric of Selûne at Last Light?”
- (Responding remark): “So she is a Thorm - as in, Ketheric Thorm.”
- (Knowing both): “This must be where Isobel was interred before... before Ketheric brought her back.”

- (Pushed off by force field around the statue): “Hells. Knocked the wind right out of me.”
- (Saw any of the glowing rings around the statue): “Well, enough of that. That glowing ring's the key to this whole thing...”

- (Looking at orthon’s bed): “I've made beds out of moss, twigs, even mud and bark - but even I have my limits.”
- (Killed orthon, knows Raphael’s demand): “The devil's fallen. Raphael will be pleased.”
- (Not knowing Raphael’s demand): “I've rid the Coast of a fair few devils. But orthons are rare outside the Hells.”

- (Don’t have a hint from the book): “Well. I should do something, I wager. Just not sure what.”
- (Starting Self-Same Trial, read the hint book): “The book said I'll need to fight myself. And I don't think it meant metaphorically.”
- (Don’t have a hint from the book): “Hm. Now what?”
- (Starting Faith-Leap Trial, read the hint book): “So - memorise the platform locations and bound across. It was in a book, so it must be true.”
- (Don’t have a hint from the book): “Hm. I could really use an instruction book.”
- (Trying to activate the altar, not having a single Umbral Gem in inventory): “An empty notch. Time to find what fits it.”
- (Spotted the first Umbral Gem, not knowing its purpose): “Pretty. Wonder what it's for.”

- (Not knowing): “The disc's on the move. Why walk, when you can ride?”
At the Verge of Shadows and in the Shadowfell:
- (Read a plaque before entering Nightsong’s prison and read Balthazar's diary in Moonrise): “Blasted temple. I was expecting the Nightsong, not some blood sacrifice.”
- (Not knowing the story): “It's always a blood sacrifice, isn't it? Why not a bit of spittle, or a nose hair?”
- (Upon entering the Shadowfell): “Incredible. I feel so light, I swear I might fly.”
- (Leaving the Shadowfell, Shadowheart disappeared): “Glad to have you back, Shadowheart. What's been keeping you?”

- (Killed Nightsong with Shadowheart in party): “By the gone gods, what great light have you gone and quenched?”
- (Responding remark): “I'm sure your dark goddess is proud...”
- (Killed her, without Shadowheart in party): “By the gone gods, what have we done?”
- (Responding remark): “Not her first death, or her last. Is there no end to her suffering?”
- (Killed her, with Shadowheart as an avatar): “Gods - she was an absolute wonder, and you destroyed her.”
- (Responding remark): “Shar must be thrilled. Congratulations.”
- (Freed Nightsong with Shadowheart in party): “Well chosen - she's quite something, isn't she?”
- (Freed, without Shadowheart in party): “The right choice - she's quite something, isn't she?”
- (Responding remark to both options): “The Nightsong will tear Ketheric to shreds. I wouldn't miss it for the world.”
- (Freed, with Shadowheart as an avatar): “Incredible. She'll make a powerful ally, all fury and light.”
- (Responding remark): “So much for Ketheric's immortality. Let's move - I want to see this angel of doom in action.”
- (Surrendered Nightsong to Balthazar, Shadowheart is/isn’t in party): “Doomed to suffer. A tragedy many times over.”
- (Responding remark to either): “This doesn't sit right with me. We've travelled a dark path.”
- (Surrendered her to Balthazar, with Shadowheart as an avatar): “Hells, Shadowheart. You just... handed her over.”
- (Responding remark): “A terrible choice for which we'll all pay a price.”

- (Found Balthazar’s book in his secret room, seq 1): “Ketheric's power must stem from the Nightsong.”
- (Responding remark 1): “If we find it, we can turn it against him.”
- (Responding remark 2): “Then we better get searching. Shall we?”
- (Found Balthazar’s book in his secret room, seq 2): “Ketheric's power must stem from the Nightsong.”
- (Responding remark 1): “'Nightsong.' A tender name for a cultist artefact.”

- (Responding remark 3): “Then we better get searching. Shall we?”

- (Responding remark): “Then we better get searching. Shall we?”
- (Found Ritual circle in Balthazar’s secret room): “A ritual circle? I wonder - is this how Moonlanterns are made?”
- (If Gale already knows about it): “Some kind of magic circle. I'll leave Gale to figure this out.”
In the Moonrise Towers Prison and the Oubliette:
- (Approaching the prison): “Prisoners? We can't just leave them to suffer.”
- (Responding remark): “That's where we'll end up if we're not careful.”

- (Returned to the Oubliette): “Hells - I'd thought I'd left this place behind.”
- (Investigating Oubliette, saw the colony through a flesh-wrought window): “There's something back there. I just need to find a way to it.”
- (Heard a screech in the Oubliette, has seen Hook Horrors): “Either that was a hook horror, or I ate too much pea soup last night.”
- (Heard a screech in the Oubliette, hasn’t seen Hook Horrors): “Hells. I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that.”
- (Climbing up from the Oubliette): “Damn - that place has me stinking worse than the wrong end of a cave troll.”
At the Moonrise Towers Rooftop:
- (Before entering the door to the rooftop to fight Ketheric): “Time for Ketheric to pay for his countless crimes. I'm ready - are you?”
- (Observing the landscape from the Moonrise rooftop): “Gods, to think what's become of this place. A mere shadow of its glory days.”
- (On the rooftop, looking into the tentacle hole): “That tentacle came from below. We should follow - I'm not about to let Ketheric walk free.”
Mind Flayer Colony[edit | edit source]

- (Failed): “Nasty blighters - they smell like a fish barrel left to rot in the sun.”
- (Seen them before): “More sea devils. I can't imagine why they've ventured so close to the city...”
Flymm Cargo, the Iron Throne and the Steel Watch Foundry[edit | edit source]
- (At Flymm Cargo, saw the oil leak nearby, check): “*Sniff* That's oil. And it's leading right inside.”
- (In the Iron Throne, doors stuck 1): “No luck. There's got to be a way through...”
- (Doors stuck 2): “Still stuck tight.”
- (Doors stuck 3): “No use. Some mechanism holds them shut.”
- (After Omeluum tells the party that Ulder Ravengard is held in the prison): "Hells - our time is short. My father is here, and by the living gods, I will free him."
- (On the first turn of the fight with Sahuagin prison guards): "Destroy them, and quickly. We need to find my father!"
- (Found Ulder Ravengard, Wyll broke the pact): “Father - you're still alive? Hold on, I'm coming for you!”
- (Found Ravengard, Wyll stayed in the pact): “Duke Ravengard? Well, this is a surprise.”
- (Duke Ravengard died, Wyll broke the pact): "Hells, no! Father, I'm - I'm so sorry..."
- (Duke Ravengard died due to player character's actions): "Godsdamn it, what've you done?!"
- (Trying to use the Submersible after returning from the Iron Throne): “Father! Hold on - I'm coming!”
- (In the Steel Watch Foundry, deactivated first Motivator): “Phew. Too close for comfort.”
- (Deactivated second motivator): “Progress. But I'm not out of the wilds just yet.”
- (Deactivated third motivator): “Simple enough. On to the next.”
- (Found headless corpse in the Foundry lab): “No brain - just a husk, a puppet. Behold, the pilots of the Steel Watch.”
- (Found a headless zombie inside a Watcher): “WHoly hells. Is every watcher piloted by a... a headless zombie?”
- (Read Toobin’s book (only)): “Gond's true name? How silly, to be known by other names. Oh wait... pretend I didn't say that.”
- (Read Gond’s lore book): “'Nebelun?' Eh - I like 'Gond' better.”
- (Read both books): “Gond's true name? Pretty sure it's 'Nebelun'.”
Elsewhere in the Lower City[edit | edit source]
- (In Bloomridge Park, noticed the Bhaalist ambush): “There, in the undergrowth - unfriendly faces. Be ready.”
- (At Crimson Draughts, drank Araj Oblodra’s potion): “Explosive blood. And all it took was one little potion.”
- (In the Elerrathin's Home basement): “'Rite of the Timeless Body'. Does Jaheira know about this?”
- (At Flymm's Cobblers, saw Gortash’s portrait): “Gortash? The man should be burning in hellfire, not painted and framed.”
- (In the Lodge, saw the massacre unleashed by Ptaris): “This is an atrocity. It must be avenged.”
- (At the Murder Tribunal, became an Unholy Assassin): “'Unholy Assassin'? No, no. This is not the path I was meant to take.”
- (Approaching Baldur’s Gate (way to the Upper City), reacts to feeling Netherbrain close): “Gods - it's as if a giant's squeezing my head... Is this the brain's doing?”
- (Trying to proceed after the Emperor’s warning): “Hold up. The Emperor warned us that death waited beyond the gate, and I see no reason to doubt him.”
- (In the Water Queen's House cellar, noticed the cracked wall): “Something's back there. Shouldn't take much to break down this wall.”
Going along Find Dribbles the Clown quest[edit | edit source]
- Looking at Orin’s corpse installations:
- (Penela Lumpensicks as Illasera): “Hells. Only a broken mind could create such a sick scene as this.”
- (Courageous Little Kimmabeth as Yaga-Shura): “Fire and death. Is this what this city is coming to - or is this always what it's been?”
- (Danfora of the Kingfish as Sendai): “Horrifying - so many damned corpses.”
- (Winslow Reginol as Abazigal): “Dragonborn cadavers? No, not just cadavers, but effigies. This isn't just spectacle - it's storytelling.”
- (Gohumberry Tresp as Balthazar): “No blood - but no less vicious a display. To what end?”
- (Wilting Alex as Amelyssan)[15]: “A frightful message, written in blood and garnished with corpses.”
Bhaal Temple[edit | edit source]
- (Encountering the Farslayer): “Bhaal's sent a heavy hitter. Slay the ghost first - he's the one provoking the others.”
- (After Farslayer started casting): “That's a killer spell - literally. Finish him, before he finishes us!”
- (Defeated Farslayer): “A less ceremonious exit than I expected. Not that I'm complaining.”
- (Entered Orin’s room): “Orin's bloody headquarters. Even worse than I expected.”
- (Found the Dark Urge’s corpse (for no DU in the party)): “By the gods, the torment this one must have endured.”
- (Mourning over killed companion): “Shit. To the Hells with you, Orin.”
Inactive/Cut Location Remarks[edit | edit source]
- (Saw dead fishers near dead Intellect Devourers): “Rotten luck. One moment, they're fishing. The next, murdered by monsters.”
- (Looking at cave paintings, History check):
- (Successful): “Mind flayers and driders at war. How old are these scribbles?”
- (Failed): “A painting of creatures in battle? Art imitates life, I suppose.”
- (Trying to use Regeneration pod, never used it before ? check failed): “Hm - dead as door hinge.”
- (Trying to use Regeneration pod, never used it before ? check successful): “It sucks energy from the occupant of that cradle. Seems - unpleasant.”
- (Trying to use Regeneration pod, used it before): “It needs power. Living power. Figures.”
- (Regeneration pod being used on non-living creature): “Nothing. I reckon it needs a different power source.”
- (When lying on the bed near the regeneration pod being used): “Ouch! A hungry little device, this.”
- (Turned statue head behind Baldur's Mouth, successful): “Hm - something just clicked into place above.”
- (Hit by a flying chair): “Hells. The furniture's gone flying!”
